Over the last few months, ZTE's kept us interested with devices like its Nubia X6 phablet, or its Open C Firefox OS handset, but we haven't spent a lot of time talking about regular old Android phone-sized phones – and really, that's ZTE's bread-and-butter. Well, today we finally see the arrival of a new one, as the manufacturer shares word of its new Grand S Pro for US Cellular. ZTE may consider its Grand family the company's line of high-end flagship models, and while the S Pro does come close to that mark in a few areas, its hardware sounds like more of a mid-tier (or at least, 2012 ...

They say karma is all about cosmic balance, and when it comes to smartphone sales, that may be right on the money. Take colorful phone options: back when the Moto X launched, shoppers in the US had exclusive access to all those pretty Moto Maker configurations, and even after the phone spread abroad, those custom options didn't make the journey with it. On the flip side, the Galaxy S5 debuted internationally with four color choices, and this time it was the US stuck with only the drab black and white options. A couple weeks back we heard that may soon change, with Verizon rumored to pick ...

The Motorola Moto G is the budget-friendly phone of the moment, despite being more modest than its more powerful sibling, the Moto X, specs-wise. While you'll probably have to wait until Monday, February 10, to grab the phone in a store, you can go ahead and order your Moto G online. The price is $189.99 but you'll get a $90 discount and free shipping for a final price of $99, if you opt for the no contract plan. The US Cellular Motorola Moto G, just like any other Moto G, packs a 4.5-inch screen with a 720p resolution and it is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor ...

We are on a pint-sized smartphone kick this morning; we just heard about a possible global launch for Sony's Xperia Z1S, and now we're looking at a fun-sized handset from Samsung, with the company confirming plans to bring the Galaxy S 4 mini to the US next month. This shouldn't come as any real shock, as we've recently seen some new GS4 mini leaks addressing such a US launch, with a render of the phone in AT&T livery surfacing, and rumors talking about Sprint also getting its own hands on the phone. Those were only the latest wave of such leaks to arrive, and back in August we saw the ...

Apple hasn't really been doing the best job in having enough iPhone 5S' to satisfy demand, and on the other hand, they're overstocked of all the iPhone 5C units that they haven't been able to sell. While the excessive demand of their higher-end model is normal, this hasn't stopped the Cupertino kids from expanding the demand of their iPhone internationally, and notice I say demand and not sales, and now it seems that the time has come for other US carriers. As of November 8th you can choose to join the list of people that will have to wait for the iPhone 5S at US Cellular, or you could ...

The Moto X is up for sale at AT&T and the Moto Maker is (sort of) active. That's well and good for the carrier, but what about Sprint, US Cellular, and Verizon? What about T-Mobile and BYOD? What about a developer edition, and sales through the Google Play Store? We may not yet have hard answers to all those questions, but we get a little new insight today, thanks to some comments from a Motorola VP. On his Google+ page, Punit Soni informs potential Moto X buyers that other carriers will start getting the Moto X in a matter days. When pressed for clarification, he doesn't get much more ...

I think we've lost count of the amount of times people ask us about any device to support an unlockable bootloader. Being able to do whatever you want with your Android purchase can be such a nightmare without it, and it has become the reason for buying or skipping of devices by many of you. Obviously we have a new Google phone in town, if we could call the Moto X a device that fits this description, and we know what question is on your mind right now. As it turns out, Motorola has confirmed that you can unlock the bootloader of devices on contract for Sprint, T-Mobile and US Cellular. The ...

Motorola's Moto X has been getting a ton of attention lately, showing up in leaked videos, as well as in the hand of Google's Executive Chairman, and the manufacturer itself has been showing us where the smartphone is put together. With that Google event next week, we're sure hoping to get some confirmation about just how this guy will launch. A number of August dates have been suggested so far, and now we've got another to check out tonight, thanks to a leak out of US Cellular. As you can see above, the carrier expects to start sales of the Moto X late next month, on August 26. That's a ...

There are fresh reports about some US Cellular upcoming phones. The Samsung ATIV Odyssey got a 7 in our quick review but that doesn't mean it's a bad device. Not at all! US Cellular obviously thinks the same and, according to the render leaked above, the phone will land on the carrier soon. For those who ignored the phone with the occasion of our inspection, here's a reminder of its specs: there's a four-inch WVGA Super AMOLED screen, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 SoC, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card), five-megapixel camera, and Windows Phone 8. ...

Watch today's Pocketnow Daily as we talk about LG's press invites for an event on May 1st, and what we expect to be released. Then we talk about the iPhone 5S and its possible 12-megapixel camera and HDR video recording capabilities. Facebook is next as chat heads reach iOS on the iPhone and iPad, even though they aren't as great as on Android. We later talk about the Samsung Galaxy S 4 pre-orders and where to begin. We end today's show talking about how the government of Taiwan is now investigating Samsung over their assumed practices to stir attention away from the HTC One. All this and ...

If you're having a déjà vu while looking at the phone rendered above we won't blame you as the resemblance with the recent Samsung Galaxy S III Mini is beyond a doubt. However, the Samsung Galaxy Axiom above --yes, we've heard about the moniker at the beginning of the year, alongside others-- has slightly different specs than the S III mini. Wearing the model number SCH-R830, the Galaxy Axiom is expected to land on US Cellular soon. it will bring a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, four-inch WVGA screen, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, five-megapixel main camera, 1.3MP webcam and radio ...

Samsung's quest for world domination continues as they keep bringing additional products to US shores this holiday season. Obviously no product launch is legally allowed without the devices paying a visit to the FCC, for our leaked pleasure. This time we've got the Galaxy Note II variants for Sprint and US Cellular being exposed. These devices will most likely see the public light of day on Samsung's October 24th event, so get your wallets ready. Along with the phablets, Samsung also submitted two Android tablets, the SPH-P500 and SCH-i915, which apparently are variants of the Galaxy Tab 2 ...
