Several weeks back, I told you I was buying a Nokia Lumia 920 instead of the iPhone 5, and provided a list of reasons why. I may be a sleep-deprived scoundrel, but I'm also a man of my word. We're hard at work on a full review of the Lumia 920, graciously provided to us by the good folks over at AT&T, but today is the official release date. Whether it's via AT&T's website or a retail store, customers just like you can now snap up the Nokia Lumia 920 for $99.99 on-contract. I chose to visit the AT&T store in my local shopping mall to grab mine, waiting in line for the gates to ...

It's here! Well, they're here. That is, the iPad 4 (going by the new of "iPad with Retina Display") and iPad mini are in the house. Both iPads, in a way, try to fix what's wrong with the current iPad: it's thick and heavy, and it's laggy at times. The iPad 4 addresses the latter problem by including the Apple A6x CPU, which is a dual-core, quad-core GPU chip that is supposed to be twice as fast as the iPad 3. And the iPad mini addresses the former issue by being super thin and super light. In this video we cover a few first impressions: First impressions for the iPad mini: The ...

Here at Pocketnow we're of the opinion that phones aren't meant to stay in boxes. Today we had to fight off the UPS guy who wanted to "pre-open", in his words, "another super-cool smartphone" for us. Somehow we were able to talk him out of this additional service so we could unbox the Motorola Droid RAZR HD on video for you! Check out the video below for a quick tour of the outside of the box, what comes inside it, and a quick walk-around of this beautiful HD smartphone. And, of course, stay tuned for more Droid RAZR HD coverage, including our full review, coming soon!

The Optimus G is the most significant flagship product we've seen from LG in a little while, and another in the company's long line of "firsts." This time, that accomplishment is processor-specific, with this smartphone the first to offer the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro. That means quad-core and LTE on the same device, which has until now been a rarity for much of the developed world. Along with the other hardware specs, like an 8MP camera, "True HD IPS Plus" display, and 2GB of RAM, the Optimus G also features unique glass construction with some interesting visual flairs. That's something ...

Phones aren't meant to stay in boxes, and neither are tablets. It follows, then, that that wisdom holds true for phablets as well. That's why, when the delivery man comes to our door bearing a gift from our friends at Clove and Samsung, we don't waste any time getting it in front of the camera for a fresh unboxing. Even if that means using the on-camera audio equipment, forgetting to button our collar, and going product-free with our hairstyles. That's how dedicated we are to getting you some hot, hot unboxing action as quickly as possible. Check out the video below for a quick tour of the ...

Even though mobile-technology trade shows are awesome, the news of the world keeps on getting made even outside their grounds. When I returned from IFA, I found a little package waiting for me, and inside it, a Droid RAZR M, one of three new RAZR-branded devices announced by Motorola at yesterday's NYC event. Our own Adam Z. Lein posted some hands-on video of the three devices yesterday, and now it's time for an unboxing of the littlest in the newest RAZR family. As a refresher: the RAZR M sports a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED Advanced display that they're marketing as a pseudo-edge-to-edge ...

The FedEx guy was kind to us this week and dropped by our very own Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 to review! This is Samsung's latest tablet offering, it comes with 16GB storage on-board and is expandable by another 64GB via a microSD XC card. Inside is a quad-core, 1.4GHz processor, and 2GB RAM. On the top is the power button, volume rocker, microSD card slot, IR port, and headphone jack. The right and left sides are empty. The bottom has a Samsung connector port and a microphone. On the back of the device is a 5MP camera with LED flash, some modest branding, and the S-Pen stylus. On the front ...

It's always nice to see a familiar brand get an upgrade. The most recent addition to Motorola's Atrix family, the Atrix HD brings a 4.5" 720p display, LTE compatibility, and an 8MP camera to the table, packing them into a hearty, Kevlar-backed casing that feels like it could take a bit of a beating, but stops short of looking too beefy for the Everyman. What more does the newest Motorola Android phone offer AT&T customers? You'll have to wait for our full review to find out. While you won't be waiting long, we thought you might enjoy a sneak peek in the meantime. So click the video ...

When Nokia introduced the 808 PureView at this year's MWC, everybody was shocked to hear that the Finnish manufacturer packed a 41-megapixel sensor inside the phone. Of course, Nokia wanted a decent follow-up to the Nokia N8 which was, for a long time, the king of camera phones. Now, the new King is here! The box contains the 808 PureView, an 1,400mAh battery pack, a wall charger, USB cable for syncing and charging, a wrist-wrap and in-ear noise canceling headphones. The 808 PureView is powered by a 1.3GHz processor, aided by a dedicated Broadcom BCM2763, has a four-inch ClearBlack AMOLED ...

It's been a busy unboxing period in the Boston office of Pocketnow; we kicked it off by taking the wraps off the Sprint version of the Galaxy S III, and now we're stepping foot on rarer ground by doing the same for the Huawei Ascend P1. The 7.7mm-thin ICS-packing Android phone was announced way back in January, and we've finally got our hands on it. Jump down to the video and click play to see what's in the box, what's looking good on the jet-black phone casing, and what the first power-on looks like. Then stay tuned over the coming days for the full review, coming just as soon as we can ...

The newest jewel in Samsung's smartphone arsenal has finally seen its U.S. release- well, mostly. Some carriers are waiting on a full launch, while others can't seem to keep enough in stock for a proper rollout. But on paper, at least, the device is now available on some American carriers. One of those carriers is Sprint, and thanks to the fine folks at Samsung, we've secured a review unit or two. You've already seen this device matched up against its international sibling in our Quad-Core vs Dual-Core Showdown Video, and you'll be treated to our full review soon, but we thought you'd like ...
