A few weeks back at CES we first heard about Lenovo's ThinkPad 8, another compact Windows 8.1 tablet. But unlike some of the real budget-minded options, Lenovo's tablet had the specs to potentially attract business users: things like a 1920 x 1200 display, metal body, and options for a whole boatload of storage. Ahh CES. It’s like spring every year, when flowers bloom and the sun shines, and Chicago gets colder than the South Pole. Seriously. But it warms my heart every year to see a flood of devices spring from Las Vegas like a Jack in the Box of technology. One device that has thus far rung my bell just a bit, is the Lenovo ThinkPad 8. As smaller tablets like the Nexus 7 and the iPad mini have gained traction, we knew it was only a matter of time before these became a more popular breed among different platforms and OEMs. Microsoft's answer to this new market is Windows 8.1, though Redmond's strategy was to bring us more powerful tablets by allowing us to use a full desktop operating system on an 8-inch tablet.
