The global commander of the slowly crumbling PC universe has jumped the gun at IFA 2015 with an onslaught of product announcements roughly 48 hours ahead of the Berlin tech fair’s formal commencement. As always, Lenovo’s computing roster is all about choice and diversity, as business consumers, power users, casual web enjoyers and hardcore gamers are equally taken care of. Hands down the star of the rich and eclectic IFA portfolio is the 12-inch 2-in-1 IdeaPad Miix 700, which launches an all-out attack on Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3 with similar versatility, portability and a slightly ...

On January 30th, just one day after the surprise announcement of their impending union, I received what superstitious people would call a "bad omen" regarding the Lenovo Motorola deal. Lenovo will be starting the ThinkPad tablet update process -- to the latest Android 4.x Ice Cream Sandwich platform -- in May, according to recent reports. This goes well with rumors we've previously heard of regarding the tablet, Ice Cream Sandwich, and Q2. Expect to see an update notification for an over-the-air refresh on your ThinkPad tablet sometime in May. The roll-out process will span throughout the entire month and it will bring goodies like Face Unlock, an improved browser, voice input, a faster and more stable overall platform and user experience. Lenovo made its plans public to update the ThinkPad Tablet to the latest iteration of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, sometime in the second quarter of the year. The ThinkPad Tablet was announced at the end of July last year and it's definitely good to see the manufacturer didn't abandon the product. The IdeaPad from Lenovo is also quietly waiting for its Ice Cream Sandwich treat but aside from a generic second quarter roll-out estimate we don't know exactly when it will happen. Other manufacturers are already pushing out OS updates for their tablets (like Asus and its Eee Pad Transformer ...
