Microsoft picked and chose which carrier would get its new Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL devices in the US. The company wanted to be the source of clean software updates, something Apple can be for pretty much all of its iPhones because of its clout. But were Windows 10 Mobile OTAs really the core issue for Telstra in Australia? The carrier sent a statement to Whirlpool Forums' user Glenn L who relayed that the Lumia 950 had failed its testing. We've been talking about Microsoft's plans for the next big Windows Phone 8 update, GDR2, for months now.
