So when a network outage event took hold last Tuesday, the network decided it would aggressively recover customer satisfaction and give its engineers overtime with a "Free Mobile Data Sunday."     Microsoft picked and chose which carrier would get its new Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL devices in the US. The company wanted to be the source of clean software updates, something Apple can be for pretty much all of its iPhones because of its clout.     We've been talking about Microsoft's plans for the next big Windows Phone 8 update, GDR2, for months now.
