2013's been a year of upsets for some major industry players. BlackBerry failed to see its latest platform take off, and now it looks like the company is going to be sold. HTC didn't get quite the boost from the One it was hoping for, and may be facing quarterly losses. LG announced the Optimus 4X HD, the South Korean manufacturer's first quad-core phone, just before this year's MWC allowing us to prepare for the personal hands-on encounter with the device while in Barcelona.
