In March Sony promised to deliver the official Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Tablet S and Tablet P sometime in April. While the Tablet S received its ICS treat as scheduled the Tablet P missed the mark but now Sony has rescheduled the roll-out process and, according to their calendar, it should be landing on May 24. The Press Release was issued in Japan but the roll-out process should be a global one -- at least if we judge by the similar situation of the Tablet S where the PR was issued for Japan but the update itself went out globally. Android 4.0.3 will be the build ...

The end of next month is when owners of a Sony tablet -- namely Tablet S or Tablet P -- should be preparing to receive the official Ice Cream Sandwich update from the manufacturer. Together with the platform refresh, some special features will be added like photo editing in the gallery, and panoramic pictures. "Small Apps" is something you might be familiar with if you have (or have seen) a Samsung tablet. After all, both designs employ dual touchscreens in a convertible layout that lets you collapse the device while carrying it. Kyocera's attempt never caught-on in a big way, so we're anxious to see if Sony has what it takes to succeed where others have failed. We'll be getting our chance quite soon, with Sony announcing that the Tablet P is set to land on AT&T this Sunday, March 3. Even when folded closed, there's no denying that the Tablet P is bit of a beast. Besides ...

Sony Ericsson (back then, now just Sony) brought the news on September 8 to the world that its entire 2011 Xperia line-up will receive Ice Cream Sandwich updates. While there isn't an exact roll-out date -- some imply March -- it is safe to expect the new ROMs this Spring. Together with the Xperia phone line-up Sony is also preparing to update its current tablets, the Sony Tablet S and Tablet P, to the latest iteration of Android. These tablets are reportedly already running test ICS code and the final bits will be rolled-out this spring. Speaking of the Sony tablets, it looks like they ...
