    Research In Motion has kicked-off a new upgrade program that will let owners of certain BlackBerry handsets trade up to a newer model at a discount, offering up to a $120 credit towards the purchase of a new phone. The program combines two distinct upgrade credits: one for trading-in your old phone, and one for buying a new one.     Verizon has released a firmware update for the BlackBerry Storm2 which promises a number of fixes and enhancements, but some users are reporting that OS 5.0.0.1015 may bring as many new problems as it cures. According to the changelog, owners can expect quicker boot ups, smoother transitions between cell towers, better audio in calls and with DRM-shackled video, as well as improved video playback of "protected content" and through headsets.
