Windows Phone's ecosystem may have grown by leaps and bounds over the course of the year, but we've still been waiting for Microsoft and its partners to fill some gaping holes in the form of big-name titles. Earlier today, we bid farewell to one of the most significant of those gaps by welcoming Spotify to Windows Phone 8. I've been the type of guy that has always prided himself of not doing what everybody else does, so Windows Phone should fit right into my desire ...

Last July, Spotify started allowing smartphone users in the United States to access its streaming radio service through the company's Android app. While Spotfiy offered different membership tiers, including an invite-based free trial, in order to stream music to your phone, Spotify required users to pay up. Luckily, the access fee for the US turned out to be quite a bit more affordable than what was already being charged abroad, but the fact that it was subscription-based at all no doubt turned-off some users. They may now be reconsidering giving Spotify a chance, as the company has just ...

Spotify and Android users were left in the dark for quite some time but at the end of April the company finally let everyone know what they were working on for Android.
