[Full Spectrum Review] Announced at CES as one of Verizon's first devices with an HD display, the LG Spectrum was released in January 2012. Inside the Spectrum smartphone is a 1.2 GHz dual core Qualcomm APQ8060 processor with 1GB of RAM. It's sharp 720 x 1280 HD color IPS TFT display measures 4.5-inches diagonal. The LG Spectrum also features two cameras, one front facing 1.3-megapixel camera and a rear facing eight-megapixel camera with LED flash capable of recording video in up to 1080p HD. Over the past week or two, we've caught wind of a couple new Androids destined for Verizon Wireless and its 4G LTE network. All we know of the HTC Fireball is that it appears in a leaked Verizon screenshot and will be an LTE Android. There's significantly more available on the LG Spectrum, which has not only shown up in pics a couple times, but we also uncovered some tech specs for the model. One thing those specs we had didn't touch upon was the possibility for a global GSM radio to find its way into the CDMA/LTE handset. Those initial rumors have panned out regarding the so-called "Revolution 2" on Verizon: as first reported by Droid-Life, it is indeed the LG Spectrum, which showed up in a Verizon system last month, that will assume the identity of well-known model number VS920.
