Sony's add-on "lens camera" accessories for smartphones, which may launch under the name Smart Shot, are easily some of the more head-scratching developments to surface in the weeks leading up to this year's IFA. We've come a long way in our understanding of this hardware, but it's just so unlike anything we've seen before that we're likely to find ourselves inundated with questions even after Sony finally makes the products official. Sony's Lens Camera, that was recently leaked, should bring additional imaging capabilities to smartphones. Though the details are scarce at the moment, everything should be clear on September 4, when Sony will have its pre-IFA event and announce the accessory alongside the Honami (and possibly the Honami Mini). Until then, there are a couple of more rumors and leaks to hang on to. The image above represents the accessory in a new color, this time, with gold and white, and the name of the devices will apparently be a combination between "smartphone" and "cybershot", for a final "Smart Shot" ...
