If you like the HTC Rezound (and Verizon) enough to sign a contract then you will probably want to grab this opportunity! Instead of paying $199.99 for the smartphone from the carrier you could get it for $ 79.99 from Amazon Wireless. The price requires you to sign a two-year contract but if you still want the phone but consider upgrading, it will set you back $159.99, which is still less than what Verizon is currently asking. The HTC Rezound packs 3G/4G LTE connectivity, 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4.3-inch Super LCD touchscreen with 720x1280 resolution, 16GB memory, ...

The HTC Rezound appears to have an additional radio which makes it a global roaming capable device, a world phone if you will. According to recent reports, turning off LTE, throwing in a GSM SIM card in the slot and doing a little tinkering brings up a new global option. Voice calls and data were enabled after a little bit of hacking but texts aren't there just yet. They'll probably make an appearance once the community follows the lead and plays some more with the device. Verizon seems to be preparing an over-the-air update for the Rezound as its documentation was published. The update ...

Owners of the HTC Rezound who feel adventurous and don't mind tampering with their phones in a way that could void the warranty can head over to RootzWiki and download what seems to be an early build of Ice Cream Sandwich for the phone. According to reports, it is Android 4.0.1 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC's own Sense custom UI on top of it, in its 3.5 iteration. Be aware that initial reports are talking about various things not working in the ROM, reboots as well as watermarks on many screens. There should be another leaked ROM coming soon (and the official release couldn't be that far ...

Back in November HTC told its users about initial plans to deliver the Ice Cream Sandwich update to some of its devices. These were the HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation XL and HTC Sensation XE, as well as the HTC Rezound, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO Design 4G and HTC Amaze 4G. HTC Turkey seems to have taken to Facebook a table (the one above) detailing devices that will get the new Android update as well as an approximate time for the roll-out process. Aside from a confirmed December 2011 date for the EVO 3D (which seems to be late), the list says January will be the month to expect the update for ...

On Monday, we told you about HTC's latest efforts towards its promise to its users that it would be providing the means to unlock its products' bootloaders for those interested in doing so. To the list of devices already supported, the manufacturer added the EVO View 4G on Sprint and T-Mobile's myTouch 4G Slide. While those were the only obvious changes, apparently HTC has quietly started unlocking the bootloaders for a couple additional models. Owners of the HTC Vivid and Rezound have been posting reports of their success attempting to unlock their phones through the use of HTC's tool. ...

As we see a new crop of super high-resolution Android phones arrive to the market like the Galaxy Note, HTC Rezound, and Galaxy Nexus, there's new potential to experiment with changing the pixel density to one that allows more data to fit on the screen at one time. You can do this as long as your phone is rooted. Using a free app like LCD Resolution, available on the Android Market, you can force your Android to use a variety of screen resolutions. While you might break certain stock applications, most other programs will work perfectly with the higher resolution.

In this video we demonstrate the software of the HTC Rezound with Beats Audio running on Verizon's 4G LTE network. The HTC Rezound ships with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but will probably get Android 4 ICS in an update next year. Alongside Gingerbread, HTC has also integrated the Sense 3.5 user interface. With HTC Sense 3.5 come a few widgets that help to unify status updates to social networks, get important information about finances or news, and change settings from the Rezound's seven home-screens quickly. Some other apps that come standard on Android 2.3 have been re-skinned to form a ...

In this video we demonstrate the hardware of the new HTC Rezound with Beats Audio for Verizon. With the Rezound powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and 1GB of RAM the speed is somewhat sluggish in comparison to other Androids of the same caliber. The 4.3-inch Super LCD screen is very clear at 720p HD resolution and with the included iBeats headset provides a home theater like experience while watch movies on the go. The dimensions of the HTC Rezound are 66 x 130 x 13.7 mm and weighs 163 grams with the battery included. The internal memory is 16GB and can reach 48GB with a ...

The Verizon HTC Rezound -- which recently arrived in our labs for a review and we've already gotten it unboxed -- was subject of reports concerning static noise, as in RF interference, when using the phone's headphone jack. According to HTC, the problem is isolated. The company said: "HTC has received a very small number of calls related to audio on the Rezound, but nothing that so far points to a broader issue. We're continuing to monitor it closely but currently believe the few calls we've received are isolated cases." The Rezound is marketed as being a music-oriented phone and given the ...

In this video we unbox the new HTC Rezound with Beats Audio. The Verizon 4G LTE Android not only sports some a cool headset but also has some impeccable hardware that would make any smartphone enthusiast jump for joy. The HTC Rezound comes boxed in a black square with the iBeats headset inlayed to the right and left of the smartphone. Surely one of the greatest selling features is the included headset (which retail alone for around $100), but of course what is a headset without a stellar smartphone. The HTC Rezound also comes bundled with the other standard items to get started including; ...

If your business just spent $300 million on a headphone company, you bundle those headphones with your smartphones, and you made a special point to play-up the audio quality of one of these handsets, we'd think the one thing you'd pay special attention to during product design and testing is that the phone really did sound just as good as claimed. HTC may very well be kicking itself now, as reports emerge of problems with the Rezound's sound output. The problem reportedly manifests itself when using the phone's headphone jack, and sounds like static or RF interference. The included Beats ...

The Taiwanese phone maker recently announced that it officially released the Kernel source code for four additional devices. These are the recently announced HTC Rezound, HTC Explorer (Pico), HTC Desire S and the HTC Amaze (4G). Source codes are always fund and incredibly useful as they not only allow users to take a look under the hood and report any bugs they might find but even give developers and chefs a chance to either extract goodies or use the bits to create custom ROMs for devices. If you're interested in either of the above, follow the source link to grab the new Kernel codes for ...

Amazon has two hot Verizon phones on sale and they go for one penny each, which is pretty much free. They're the HTC Rezound and the Motorola Droid RAZR, introduced at the beginning of this month and mid-October, respectively. To take advantage of the great price you will of course have to sign a two-year contract but given the mere hotness of these devices, you'll probably comply. The HTC Rezound is the phone-maker's first model with an HD-resolution 720p display (4.3 inches). It packs a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB internal flash, a 16GB microSD card, eight-megapixel main ...
