We just mentioned Netflix for Android was promised for early 2011 with the occasion of the Hulu Plus news we brought you and it looks like it really exists. Back in November last year, Greg Peters from Netflix development said that "the lack of a generic and complete platform security and content protection mechanism available for Android" were the main reasons the application is not yet available. Without any announcement being made, Netflix for Android just popped-up out of nowhere on a brand new LG Revolution device headed to Verizon. There is no demo of the app yet, just a mention at ...

LG has boldly named its first 4G LTE phone for Verizon the "Revolution", though we couldn't find anything revolutionary about it. It's an Android 2.2.1 phone with a 4.3" display, single core CPU with 512MB of RAM, and dual cameras. It also has HDMI out, DLNA support, and 16GB of internal storage. On paper in looks nice, but in-hand, it's extremely thick. We're thinking that the extra thickness is due to a larger battery, since the backing sort of has a large bubble shape to it. In terms of software, LG is using an interface that seems to be different than the S-Class found on the Optimus ...

Here it is: the LG Revolution, one of the four (presumed) launch devices for Verizon's LTE-capable handset rollout (alongside the Motorola Droid Bionic, HTC Thunderbolt, and Samsung SCH-i520, probably). Tagged with model number VS910 -- which we saw passing through the Bluetooth SIG last month -- this 4G model should be revealed in just a few hours at Verizon's press conference, but we were able to score a few early shots with our trusty Nexus S camera. We noticed that it felt a bit thick in the hand (check out the photo after the break) and that it features an HDMI-out port, but we really ...

LG President and CEO Dr. Jong-seok Park stepped onto the stage at Verizon's 4G LTE press event this afternoon to show off the company's LG Revolution Android phone. We caught a look at the Revolution earlier today, which sports a 4.3-inch screen and will ship running Android 2.2. With all the super-slim phones coming out of the woodwork, we noticed that LG's is looking a bit fat by comparison. Could be that there's a big battery under the hood that's providing the juice for the LTE modem, but we'll need to see more complete specifications to know for sure. From what LG and Verizon have ...

"B" is for "Black", or at least that's how LG's alphabet book reads. The company's revealed two new smartphones as it prepares for the CES, finally giving a name to the "B" we heard about last month, which it seems will be known as the LG Optimus Black. The second is the LG Revolution, which will feature LTE connectivity on Verizon. Engadget scored some pics of LG setting up its CES display, and took the opportunity to grab some pre-announcement shots of the promo material for these two handsets. Now we have an actual measurement to back up the earlier pictures of the very thin B - now ...
