Nokia's big London event didn't bring us a 41-megapixel PureView Lumia, but that doesn't mean that we didn't get to see some significant new hardware. The Lumia 925 may be more of a gradual evolution of existing models from a hardware perspective, but the new metallic design certainly marks a notable departure from the colorful, plastic handsets that have dictated the design language of Lumias thus far. Now that the complete trio of 92x devices has gone official (at least, we think that's the last of 'em) we wanted to bring together some of our editors to share our opinions on Nokia's ...

After CES there's MWC and then comes IFA in the autumn but there's nothing really going on between February and September in terms of shows, the place to get all the cool stuff from manufacturers. That's when we put all of our hopes in individual events, like the HTC One event, the Samsung Galaxy S 4 launch, and, next week, Nokia and Google I/O. Many things have been rumored to be unveiled on the 14th in London, at the Nokia event: from the mysterious EOS to the Catwalk and the Lumia 928. Not many things have been said about Google I/O though: rumors imply Android Key Lime Pie might be ...

Smartphones, phablets, tablets. We all remember the days when smartphones had 2.3-inch screens; it all happened back in the day where QVGA was a big thing. Fast forward just five or six years and we're seeing 5-6-inch phones that have Full HD resolution. As phones got bigger and bigger, an interesting thing happened to tablets: they got smaller and smaller, starting from 10-9-inches as the preferred form factor for many today became the 7-inch tablet. With less than an inch or so between the smallest tablet and the largest phone, will the line disappear and will these two, otherwise ...

Topic Yes, we're bringing our Samsung Galaxy S 4 devices to the hangout and you can ask questions about the phone from the Editor that reviewed it. Additionally, we're also bringing the HTC One phones to the hangout so you can ask your questions about the S 4's direct competitor. Think of it as a quick and dirty Q&A, with a twist, all happening live, where you can join and interact with Pocketnow team members (and their hottest phones). Despite setting a weekly broad topic, with Pocketnow Live, you can also bring your own. We can talk about whatever else you want to, tech or not, so ...

There are two types of phone users out there: those lucky to make it through the day on one charge with their phones, and those who get the "beep beep". There are also two types of phones out there: those with removable batteries, and those with juice packs out of reach. But what if you could get the battery life you've always wanted? What would you be willing to give up? Of course, it all depends on how you use your phone but the best person to judge that is you. My battery life and its mileage will most definitely vary from yours, so you tell us what you wish for in terms of power ...

Apple did everything in its power to tell the world that the best stylus you'll ever need is your finger. The iPhone changed the way we perceive phones and after almost half a decade we ended up thinking back at the pointing device, gently placing it somewhere in the museum. Then Samsung came along in October 2011 when the company introduced the Galaxy Note at IFA, bringing the stylus (S-Pen) back in our everyday's life. The South Korean phone maker identified a niche and acted ballsy in not only bringing something back, with added functionality, but turning it into a successful line-up ...

The "Facebook phone" is the new kid on the block since yesterday when the social network giant introduced a new concept together with hardware made by HTC. But how long until we see a "Twitter phone"? How about a "Google+ phone"? Well, these are just one interesting Pocketnow Live hangout away. We're going to talk about your social needs while on the go and how important is this aspect of your life. How social does your phone need to be? Should it be more than an app or do you often prefer to just stay away from all the social networks? This is our topic today. However, if you have ...

Yesterday, Facebook announced its new Home for Android, delving deeper into OS integration than we've ever seen from one of the company's mobile apps. As this move is so unprecedented, plenty of you are likely a little unsure what to think about the news. Is this an exciting new way to interact with social services? Is putting so much focus on a single company's app counter to the spirit of Android? Should you be worried about the privacy implications of an "always on" Facebook app? There's a lot to discuss, so we pulled together some of the editorial staff here at Pocketnow to talk about ...

Thin and light, bulky or consistent, small or large, we could go on forever and still have some more options at the end. There's something for everyone in the Android world today. We've got the Sony Xperia Z, the HTC One, and the Samsung Galaxy S 4. These are pretty much the flagships of 2013, though they'll soon be joined by the next Google Nexus and probably offerings from other OEMs, like Motorola for instance. About the biggest question an Android user is being faced with is: which one to go for? We've received lots of e-mails, comments, tweets and alike from our readers, asking for advice. Even if you decide not to sign on the dotted line at the bottom of a carrier contract and you opt for an unlocked ...

The world, Android world, that is, is a better, happier place, now that we have all the major players out there with their flagship phones, including Sony, HTC, and Samsung. Of course we're waiting on the next Nexus and the Motorola's X-Phone -- even some others -- but the flagships are, as of last night, all out there. We've already reviewed the Sony Xperia Z (and the ZL is currently being dissected in our labs) but we're yet to give our final nod to the HTC One -- sometime mid-next week, after three different people dissect it (Anton, Brandon, and Michael) -- while we're eagerly waiting ...

Probably the most important Android phone release of the year is nearly upon us. Samsung is going to unveil the highly anticipated follow up to last year's successful Galaxy S III, the Galaxy S IV. It will happen today in New York and we'll be here, there, and all over, to tell you everything about it. We've done it with the occasion of HTC's One launch and we're doing it again. We're sitting down in a public, live but closed hangout -- meaning you can watch us in real time but you can't talk to us -- to tell you all about the Galaxy S IV, as it happens, and bring you our unique ...

We're back from Barcelona and just when our heart rate was about to get back to normal we're feeling the adrenaline rush once again, this time thanks to Samsung and its March 14th New York unveiling of the Galaxy S IV flagship, one of the few smartphones that everyone talks about, platform/brand fan or not. Of course, we can talk about that or anything else that crosses your mind, because we can. Pocketnow Live is the place where you can talk about anything with the Editors; surely those who watched previous episodes know about our unwritten rule: we either talk about what you want to talk ...

One of the most anticipated -- if not the most anticipated -- Android phone releases of the year is about to happen in exactly one week: Samsung is going to unveil the latest member of their Galaxy family, the follow-up to last year's successful Galaxy S III, their flagship for this year, the Galaxy S IV. There have been, as usual, lots of rumors and speculation surrounding the phone with the occasional leaks, legit or faked, but we never really sat down together to tell you what it is that we are expecting from Samsung. Is it the looks? Is it the specs? Is it the software features? Or a ...
