Update: We're live The day we've been waiting for has finally arrived: HTC is announcing its 2014 flagship, the One follow-up. Despite all the leaks we've seen, and that there's little new HTC can tell us, we're excited to see yet another flagship being launched, joining the Samsung Galaxy S 5, Sony Xperia Z2, Oppo Find 7, and the rest. We'll have extensive coverage on the 2014 HTC One, and we're going to bring you our first impressions, live, in our usual Editorial Roundtable. We're sitting down to tell you what we think, what we like, what we don't like, and analyze the device inside ...

Topic Time does fly by quickly, especially in tech, and here we are, 13 episodes later, preparing to wrap-up Season 2 of the Pocketnow Live, as we're getting ready for the biggest show of the year: Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Let those MWC rumors fly around! Before we go on a hiatus, and before we fly out to Barcelona, we will have just one more hour of casual conversation related, or unrelated to mobile and wearable technology. Whether that's rumors of upcoming devices, like the Galaxy S 5, M8, or Xperia Z2, or the recent Google-Lenovo ...

Click this link to join the hangout! . Topic If neither of the newly announced devices capture your attention -- like the Sony Xperia Z1S, Z1 Compact, the WiFi-only Z Ultra, Galaxy Note Neo, and the list goes on -- then it's time to turn our heads to the rumors that are already building up in anticipation of MWC. The Galaxy S 5 launch rumors indicate the phone could be on the show floor -- just as well as it could be missing MWC -- depending on which rumors you believe, and the HTC One+ (One Two, or whatever you want to call the 2014 HTC One follow-up) is expected to make some waves as ...

Click this link to join the hangout! . Topic It's been a year since we last talked; well, not really, but back then we still wrote dates containing the number 2013. Much has happened since! We went to Vegas, returned, some of us with nasty souvenirs that put us in bed for a couple of days, however, with some nice memories, and a lot of tech videos to remember all the buzz of an interesting show from the real city that never sleeps. We talked about all-things-CES in not one, but two of our consecutive Podcast installments. However, if you still have unanswered questions regarding the show ...

Click this link to join the hangout! . Topic Welcome to the last Live show of 2013! It's also the last episode before we're heading out to CES 2014: our on-site team will consist of Michael Fisher, Taylor Martin, and myself (Anton D. Nagy). We're going to have an extreme amount of fun (when we'll not be exhausted, but maybe we'll just get tired having fun)! We could talk about the latest Galaxy S 5 rumors, HTC One Two chatter, larger iPads, Galaxy Tabs, smart watches, and all the usual. But you know what? Since it happens to be between Christmas and New Years, you could tell us what tech ...

Click this link to join the hangout! . Topic We've been supporters of new platforms and startups for quite some time, and it is also the case of our friends at Jolla. We've seen them and their new little platform several times throughout 2013, and now we have our own Jolla phone in our review labs so we can dissect it. Would you grab one? The world's first 2K smartphone has been announced by Vivo with the Xplay 3S. 2560 x 1440 resolution is what some of you rock on your 27-inch iMacs or PC monitors, but the Vivo-phone brings that to a six-inch display. Evolution? Gimmick? Useful feature? ...

Click this link to join the hangout! . Topic This week was pretty busy, and in an unexpected way; we like it! We're seeing new Google Play Edition devices -- LG G Pad 8.3, Sony Xperia Z Ultra, Nexus 7 in white -- and we've published our reviews of the Motorola Moto G and Nokia Lumia 1520. If that's not enough, Android 4.4.2 is being pushed out to Nexus devices -- some didn't even get the chance to grab the 4.4.1 update -- and HTC is announcing a black version of its One Max phablet, given, for Hong Kong. Spotify started offering free music streaming to mobile devices, and a new, ...

Click this link to join the hangout! . Topic We've talked about the LG G Flex a lot, but there's still a lot more to be said about this curved, and flexible phone. If you somehow missed our real-life torture test, you should definitely catch up and watch it. We know you've been waiting for the final, full review of the device, and we'll give you just that, really soon. Until then, we're bringing it along to the Pocketnow Live so that we can use it for demo purposes. No, we'll not abuse the phone any more! Another phone worth getting excited about is the Motorola Moto G; well, if it's not ...

Click this link to join the hangout! . Topic A lot has happened since we've last seen and talked to each other last Friday. Motorola announced the dirt-cheap Moto G, which might not have the flagship specs of the Nexus 5, but it tries to deliver the same pure-Android experience, at an even better, lower price-point. Then there was the Android 4.4 KitKat update which was pushed out to Nexus tablets (though our own 2012 Nexus 7 didn't yet receive it) sans the Google Experience Launcher, and Nokia is continuing to release hardware, like the Lumia 1520, and 2520. Then there's the "real" ...

Click this link to join the hangout!   Topic There was a little bit of back and forth when it comes to the Nokia Lumia 1520 pre-orders for AT&T. Initially Microsoft has pushed a Store page live which allowed future owners to pre-order their phones, just to yank the page in less than 12 hours, saying that it was prematurely published. Today, the pre-orders for the phone went live again at both Microsoft and AT&T and you can secure your unit of the first Windows Phone phablet. Then there's a lot of other stuff to talk about, like Nexus 5, Android 4.4 KitKat, the iPad Air, ...

Click this link to join the hangout!   Topic There's no doubt about it: yesterday's news was probably the most important for the tech world, whether your a fan or not of certain brand, and anticipated, by many enthusiasts. After a marathon of leaks, rumors, and alike, Google finally decided to make the announcement. We thought, and maybe some others too, that it will be a real event; instead, Google just went with a silent announcement, a Press Release-only thing, just like last year (but back in 2012 a hurricane had a lot to do with it). We'll talk about the Nexus 5 and Android 4.4, ...

Yes everyone, this day is finally happening. We've already lost track of how long we've been covering the rumors of Google's Nexus 5, and since we didn't have any press invitations for anyone, it was hard to tell when the phone would be launched to the public. The day has finally arrived, and these news are so hot that the phone is already sold out in its 16GB variant. Now, we know that a lot of you are still on the ropes trying to decide if this is your next smartphone. Join us for our live Editorial Roundtable, as we discuss everything that got announced today, and the rumors that sadly ...

Topic Unfortunately we had to skip an episode last week due to some objective matters, but, nonetheless, we're back, and boy, do we have a lot to talk about. The world is now richer with a couple of Apple iPads and Nokia Lumias, and we can't wait to hear your thoughts! It's Friday! Beyond being your cue to slip away from work a few hours early and get a head start on the weekend, Friday means it's just about time for our next Pocketnow Live episode, right? Well... normally you'd be right, but we've got a bit of a mea culpa to lay out for you: we're going to have to delay this week's Live, pushing our schedule back into next week instead. We'd offer you a moment or two to deal with your grief over that setback, but we think we might have something nearly as good to offer if you're still looking to get your Pocketnow editorial discussion fix this week (and ...

Topic There have been a lot of HTC One Max leaks recently, and, we're expecting even more in the upcoming days, leading up to HTC's event next week. The Taiwanese phone maker is expected to unveil its first phablet. Recent rumors are also mentioning the Nexus 5; we've heard reports of pricing, as well as different battery sizes, and, more recently, rumor has it that Google will be holding an event earlier than expected, as soon as next week. Nokia started teasing its October 22 event quite some time ago, and we've heard we might see not one, not two, but as much as half a dozen new ...
