At CES yesterday, Palm had unveiled its Pixi Plus and Pre Plus, which are essentially updated versions of the Palm Pre and the Palm Pixi currently on Sprint. The new models will all sport WiFi (Sprint Pixi currently does not have WiFi), double the internal storage capacity to 16 GB, and the Pre Plus will also get double the RAM. Most notably, the updated models will come with an app update to allow the devices to act like a MiFi, allowing you to share your wireless 3G connection over the device's WiFi with up to five other devices. Palm also mentions a firmware update in February, at which ...

Palm will be introducing two new devices to AT&T in the first half of 2010--could this be the 3G GSM version of the Palm Pre and Palm Pixi that most have waited for? No details are given at this time, but this will be the first time that AT&T will be carrying webOS devices. Palm devices had been on AT&T's network before, with the Palm Treo and Palm Centro devices. (via: Gizmodo)

The Palm Pixi on Sprint is one of my favorite phones due to a stunning industrial design, great performance, and the convenience of a non-sliding, front-facing QWERTY keyboard in a candybar form factor. The device is seemingly poised to be headed to rival CDMA/EVDO carrier Verizon Wireless in the new year as the device has passed FCC certification with WiFi included, a feature that was lacking on the Sprint release. The Pixi is Palm's--and Sprint's--second smartphone running the capable webOS operating system; the first device was the portrait-sliding Palm Pre. While the Pixi seems to ...

The Palm Pixi is an interesting consumer for Palm. It is a device that will attract both consumers and many geeks who love the front-facing QWERTY keyboard in a slim and narrow--but usable--form factor, however the device comes with its own compromises and Palm did a great job on making a svelte device that was both affordable and easy to use on Sprint's Now Network. The Pixi is a gorgeous device and is a marvel to look at it, from its sleek form factor to its glossy black front with island keys. Palm took it to heart to balance the design between geek chic and fashion conscious--Palm will ...

Last we heard, a beta of the new Adobe Flash 10.1 was headed to Windows Mobile and webOS (Palm Pre) users by the end of 2010. Now, when you go to a Flash enabled page, Adobe gives you a Flash placeholder that says Flash is expected to come to webOS by the first half of 2010. We're not sure if the beta's been pushed back and delayed or if that's the date for the final release of Adobe Flash 10.1 for webOS devices, which should also include the new and forthcoming Palm Pixi when it does launch.
