There have been plenty of rumors about an LG Optimus G2 over the last couple months, including some claiming that the phone would make its debut at the CES. That didn't come to pass, but we haven't forgotten about the handset, and now there's some expectation that it may show itself at MWC next month. We've already heard some of the phone's specs rumored, but now we may have a full run-down to examine, if this info is to be believed. Just to be clear here, the provenance behind these specs is super-shaky, having appeared on Japanese forum 2channel. They describe a phone a phone identified ...

CES 2013 is over, and despite the fact that we cranked out about thirty videos covering products ranging from super-phablets to fuel cells, some of us still came away a little disappointed by what was ultimately a very light show, hardware-wise. Whether you were encouraged, let down, or completely unmoved by CES 2013, two things are true. First, you probably missed something amid the torrential downpour of 24-hour news; fortunately, our own Anton D. Nagy has you covered with an extensive wrap-upĀ of our coverage from start to finish. Second -and more germane to our current focus- the ...

Even though LG's Optimus G is by all consideration still a quite new handset, we've already been hearing rumors about a G2 for some months now. We looked at a few of those back in November, when we heard the phone would feature a 1080p display and get a nice processor bump, moving up to one clocked at 2.0GHz. Now some new rumors add a little support to those claims, and make it look like the G2 could be ready to make an appearance at the 2013 CES next week. We just heard that LG could be planning to show off a 5.5-inch 1080p Android at the CES, but there was no name tied to that phone. Now ...

The LG Optimus G may certainly be an impressive phone, but we've already started to piece together the story of the company's follow-up flagship device. HTC got the ball rolling on 1080p smartphones with its Droid DNA, and now plenty of the other OEMs look ready to follow suit; we already caught wind of at least one LG 1080p model in some benchmark results earlier this month. Now a new report claims that LG is preparing to release the so-called Optimus G2 sometime around next May. Like that model we saw in the benchmarks, the G2 would supposedly employ a 1080p display. We're not sure if ...
