Following on the heels of 2012's Optimus G, LG's Optimus G Pro brings the phone a 1080p display, though in two different sizes: a five-inch version for the Japanese market, and a 5.5-incher for international sales. Like other 1080p Androids, the G Pro runs a new Snapdragon 600 SoC and features a thirteen-megapixel main camera. In the US, the 5.5-inch G Pro should be coming to AT&T.

We've already seen official imagery of the five-inch version of LG's Optimus G Pro, the one destined for Japan, but our interested has really been focused on the 5.5-inch model, the one planned for LG's native South Korea, and hopefully elsewhere. A week ago, we got a nice, clear look at that version in a user-taken image, but today LG comes through with its own official Optimus G Pro shot, releasing a press render on its social site. This new pic is a dead ringer for last week's, and lest you think we're still looking at the five-incher, check out the placement of the phone's proximity ...

A short time ago, every high-end Android handset was pitted against Apple's famed iPhone. Few were fortunate enough to be called an "iPhone killer", and even fewer lived up to the name. Those days are long gone, though. It's more evident now than ever that Android and iOS are two vastly different platforms and comparing the hardware is more like comparing fruits and vegetables thanks apples and oranges. Not to mention, the iPhone met its match nearly two years ago when the first LTE and dual-core handsets hit shelves. Now we're on to quad- and octa-core processors, 5-inch (and larger) ...

Yesterday we brought you a few updates on LG's rumored Optimus G Pro, both taking a look at the company's MWC teaser ad, which may foretell the phone's debut at the expo later this month, as well as got a glimpse at a picture of what very well may be the G Pro itself. Now we have a little update on when the phone might actually go up for sale, and at least some markets, it sounds like that could similarly take place before the end of the month. So the theory goes, according to Korean site K.Bench, LG is concerned about the effect that next month's anticipated Samsung Galaxy S IV ...

This morning's LG MWC teaser ad was filled with buzzwords and we were wondering what device might the South Korean manufacturer refer to, with chances being thin for the Optimus G2. One of the options was the rumored 5.5-inch phablet and it looks like the leaks are continuing two weeks before the announcement. The picture above claims to represent the LG Optimus G Pro from carrier LG U+ in South Korea, not the five-inch one confirmed in Japan by NTT DoCoMo. This phablet can reportedly brag about its 5.5-inch display with Full HD resolution and small bezel, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon ...

Last night, we heard about the LG Optimus G Pro through the posting of some supposed specs to a Japanese forum. Based on the sort of hardware they described, the phone's model number, and even the G Pro name itself, this find set of all sorts of alarm bells in our head that this could be the Optimus G2 we've been hearing rumored so much lately. That was all interesting enough on its own, but we really weren't able to place a whole lot of faith in the validity of those specs, so ultimately it felt more like a curiosity. This morning, we're finding ourselves looking at all that in a new ...
