If there's one thing we've got to commend Samsung for, is for taking R&D so seriously, they actually launch some of the products even if they won't be hits. Succeeding examples are the Galaxy Note line-up, which we all mocked when originally launched, and which we all ended-up using and loving afterwards. Today we hear that Samsung is up-to something bigger and badder, and it has everything to do with competing with the Oculus Rift. After some early stabs late last century, virtual reality looks like it may finally be ready to become a commercial success, and we have the Oculus Rift to thank. The VR headset was a huge Kickstarter success, and work has been underway ever since to tweak the hardware until it's ready to hit stores.
