As a premier podcast producer that has its shows consistently chart half of the top 20 podcasts on iTunes, NPR should know a thing or two about the podcast industry. Live Streaming services have proven to be a smart business model lately, with companies like Pandora and Spotify succeeding in gaining members. The biggest problem with these services is that they haven't solved the needs of every customer since a lot of people just like to listen to the news on the go, aside from their music selection.
