[Full myTouch 4G Slide Review] The latest in T-Mobile's line of myTouch branded smartphones, sporting a slide-out portrait QWERTY keyboard, the myTouch 4G Slide was released in July 2011. Packed inside is a dual-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8260 processor with 768 MB of RAM. Its 3.7-inch Super LCD display has a 480 x 800 (WVGA) resolution. The myTouch 4G Smartphone comes running Android 2.3.4 and HTC Sense 3.0. It also features two cameras, one VGA front facing camera and an eight-megapixel rear facing camera with dual LED flash. There's a new smartphone being developed known as the HTC Doubleshot, and it has posted a single six-megapixel photo to Picasa. According to the caption, the shot was taken in Washington, D.C. across the Potomac River towards Virginia -- it is labeled as an "HDR test." The picture seems to have been taken by an HTC employee visiting the States from overseas. A full-size version of the photo is hotlinked here. The HTC Doubleshot, rumored to be coming to T-Mobile, is indeed an Android Gingerbread-powered WVGA handset with physical QWERTY keyboard, according to its user agent profile. Along with information gleaned from an online benchmark tool, the specs of this 1.2GHz device are falling into place nicely: a photograph posted to Picasa tipped us to its six-plus-megapixel camera with HDR capabilities; we're starting to think that Doubleshot refers to a 3D camera on this model a la the Optimus 3D and EVO 3D. With 911sniper's posting of the T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide/HTC Doubleshot leaked ROM earlier today, we have analyzed the contents and discovered some more info about the pending device. Most interesting is support for 1080p 3D recording, a first in the industry (other 3D devices feature only 720p 3D recording/playback.)
