T-Mobile announced the myTouch 4G Slide last week, a big upgrade over the existing hardware in the myTouch family of smartphones, with plans to launch the handset this month. The source apparently behind some of the launch dates we heard earlier today is still at it, continuing to come up with screenshots showing when some of this summer's most anticipated smartphones are due to arrive. The latest to get the treatment is the MT4GS, but it's not exactly good news. The carrier had said we'd be able to get our hands on the MT4GS sometime in July, but it looks like it was talking about the ...

Just as we suspected a tad earlier when T-Mobile teased the smartphone, Magenta has just announced the HTC-made myTouch 4G Slide, follow-up to the popular myTouch 4G from last year. As the earlier video implied, T-Mobile is advertising the myTouch 4G Slide as having the "most advanced camera of any smartphone with zero shutter lag, backside illuminated sensor and additional premium digital camera features". Sony Ericsson is constantly using a back illuminated sensor on its latest, Exmor R-enabled smartphones to dramatically reduce noise and increase noise sensitivity. It appears that HTC ...

T-Mobile is making a pretty bold claim about their latest Android-powered smartphone. According to a video released on their YouTube channel the upcoming myTouch 4G Slide features "the most advanced camera of any smartphone with zero shutter lag, backside illuminated sensor and additional premium digital camera features that offer consumers a viable replacement for their digital point-and-shoot cameras." Based on the video the phone will feature an 8-megapixel camera with built-in panoramic mode (SweepShot), BurstShot for better sports pictures, ClearShot HDR to make even dark images pop, ...

We expected T-Mobile to launch the myTouch 4G Slide any day now, way before we've seen the pictures showing the device in its full glory. Hopefully it's just a couple of hours away now, at least in case we solved the puzzle correctly. The image above is actually T-Mobile's Facebook status which, as you can see, teases the myTouch 4G Slide. "Big news is on the way" says the status and we can't wait to hear it, just bring it on already! Dubbed as HTC Doubleshot, we expect the T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide to sport a dual-core CPU, 768MB of RAM, a 3.7-inch WVGA screen, eight-megapixel camera with ...

The dual-core HTC Doubleshot, known appropriately as the T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide, is expected to see a release any day now. The device has an updated keyboard that improves upon the design seen in the myTouch 3G Slide of last year, plus it adds HSPA+ capability on T-Mobile, a dual-core CPU (of the Qualcomm Snapdragon variety), and 768MB of RAM, while also bumping screen size from 3.4" to 3.7" and WVGA resolution. TMoNews has captures some photos of the myTouch 4G in the wild, showing off its svelte design, 8MP camera with dual LED flash, and Sense 3.0 interface with enhancements made ...

We're expecting T-Mobile and HTC to launch the myTouch 4G Slide at an event tomorrow, but we have yet to get a good look at the device itself, save for some blurry partial shots. Well MT4GS still hasn't been fully exposed, but the pair of dummy unit-filled cases above finally give us a pretty good idea of how the entire handset will look -- minus the all-important keyboard, of course. Codenamed Doubleshot, this dual-core companion to last year's myTouch 4G (recently released in Canada as the HTC Panache) is expected to feature a 3.7-inch WVGA display, 768MB of RAM, and as its name implies, ...

HTC's myTouch 4G Slide (AKA Doubleshot) feels like it's nearly upon us. We're hoping the smartphone is among the HTC models that will be featured by T-Mobile at its launch event scheduled for June 8, and just yesterday we saw the publication of the phone's FCC documentation. Now some close-up images of the Android are circulating, finally showing the handset's QWERTY keyboard in all its blurrycam glory. The problem with the MT4GS, or at least with spotting pics of it, is that it's just so similar to the original myTouch 4G, that without seeing its keyboard exposed you might mistake it for ...

The upcoming T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide from HTC, expected to launch next Wednesday, June 8th alongside the Sensation 4G and another HTC device (Flyer?), has filed for FCC certification. Since we're pretty confident of most of the specs already, there wasn't much new information to be gleaned: the MT4GS, codename Doubleshot, is a dual-core QWERTY slider with 3.7-inch WVGA display, front and rear-facing cameras (VGA and eight-megapixel, respectively), and category 10 HSDPA support. The only real mystery at the point is whether or not T-Mo/HTC have decided to incorporate 3D capture and ...

Get ready for some new additions to HTC's lineup on T-Mobile; a recently-uncovered job posting has confirmed that T-Mobile is planning an event to launch three new HTC smartphones on June 8. The posting is eliciting those with a knack for smartphones to help the company show off these three unnamed HTC models at an event taking place in Houston, TX. We learned a couple weeks back that T-Mobile was planning to launch the Sensation 4G on June 8, so that's likely to be the highlight of this event. Heck, there have been signs of a June 8 launch for the Sensation going back to April, making its ...

We've reported earlier about the HTC Doubleshot and, according to its user agent profile, we said it will be an Android Gingerbread-powered WVGA handset with physical QWERTY keyboard coming to T-Mobile. It's test ROM has been leaked and it looks like it will be the myTouch 4G Slide. After the T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide -- which recently got its Froyo update -- there was the myTouch 4G which, even though was rated well in our review, was lacking the physical keyboard. According to 911 blog leaking the Radio, it will indeed be tied to T-Mobile and will allegedly be the myTouch 4G Slide. Word ...

There's a new smartphone being developed known as the HTC Doubleshot, and it has posted a single six-megapixel photo to Picasa. According to the caption, the shot was taken in Washington, D.C. across the Potomac River towards Virginia -- it is labeled as an "HDR test." The picture seems to have been taken by an HTC employee visiting the States from overseas. A full-size version of the photo is hotlinked here. Various reports have the Doubleshot as a T-Mobile-bound QWERTY slider with WVGA resolution and 1.2GHz dual-core processor. Blog of Mobile!! claims that its model number is PG58100, ...

The HTC Doubleshot, rumored to be coming to T-Mobile, is indeed an Android Gingerbread-powered WVGA handset with physical QWERTY keyboard, according to its user agent profile. Along with information gleaned from an online benchmark tool, the specs of this 1.2GHz device are falling into place nicely: a photograph posted to Picasa tipped us to its six-plus-megapixel camera with HDR capabilities; we're starting to think that Doubleshot refers to a 3D camera on this model a la the Optimus 3D and EVO 3D. The other known features are a Bluetooth 3.0 radio and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi -- since ...

With 911sniper's posting of the T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide/HTC Doubleshot leaked ROM earlier today, we have analyzed the contents and discovered some more info about the pending device. Most interesting is support for 1080p 3D recording, a first in the industry (other 3D devices feature only 720p 3D recording/playback.) The Doubleshot will feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon MSM8660 1.2GHz Dual Core CPU, paired with the Adreno 220 GPU, and 768MB RAM. The display is a 3.7-inch WVGA LCD, with a VGA resolution front facing camera, and an eight-megapixel rear-facing camera. HSDPA Category 10 is ...
