    If 2013 was the year we saw the arrival of Ubuntu software for smartphones, 2014 will be the year we get some proper Ubuntu hardware.     This summer, we've already seen Samsung introduce a refreshed Exynos 5 Octa, the 5420, with a slightly higher clock speed and a new GPU.     Right on the cusp of the IFA, our attention is focused on devices like the Samsung Galaxy Note III or Sony's Honami, but there are also plenty of new smartphones being announced by companies that don't typically draw so much of our focus.
