Home stretch, here we come; with just one week and one day to go until HTC launches its all new One, excitement for the Android handset runs high. Even if we were largely in the dark, we'd still eagerly be awaiting the HTC flagship's debut, but the leaks we've seen so far (and man, there have been a LOT of them) have only served whet our appetites all the more. Today we start the week off with a pair of videos, checking out both the latest official teaser from HTC, as well as a hands-on clip detailing the look and feel of Sense 6.0. The team from the last couple HTC “Technical ...

A couple weeks back, some big, beautiful, crisp, high-res images of the all new 2014 HTC One showing up with some aftermarket cases would have been a big, big deal. And don't get us wrong, as it's still the sort of thing that's extremely up our alley, but after absurdly detailed hands-on videos, and leak after leak after leak of still images of the handset, not to mention its packaging and specs, well... the cat's not just out of the bag, but halfway down the block by now. Nevertheless, until HTC finally punches the launch button on this guy we're going to continue to be captivated by ...

The purpose of dual cameras on the upcoming HTC One has been a topic of debate ever since we first heard the rumors, and seen the leaks depicting the imaging system and arrangement on the back. Some were betting on 3D, while others, including us, were convinced that HTC will try to improve on overall image quality as well as focus. A leaked ad, seen below, details the purpose of dual cameras, while at the same time confirming The All New HTC One denomination of the upcoming 2014 flagship. Apparently, the main raison d'être of the secondary camera is to choose focus. Nokia (and, more ...

Ever since the launch of the original HTC Touch Diamond, who can deny that HTC knows how to make some great wallpapers and ringtones? Most of us find ourselves hunting for these wallpapers after the launch of an HTC flagship, and the dev community has done a great job in sharing them in many forums. Now what's interesting is that as of today, you won't have to wait for the HTC M8 to launch to get some love. As many as 18 of the wallpapers we can expect to see on the HTC M8 got leaked today, and judging by some of the additional leaks we've seen, plus the fact that these images are all darn ...

We have been on a wild ride with the all new HTC One this morning, checking out some newly leaked pics before getting our look at the phone's third official teaser video. Last week, though, we easily saw the best leak of this new hardware to date, when a lengthy hands-on video arrived to give us a crisp, clear, up-close-and-personal look at the unannounced smartphone. Today we see yet another video hands-on surface, and while it's not quite up to the level of quality in that first vid, it's still unmistakable just what we're looking at. The original video appears to have been published by ...

One of the main selling points (and points of critique at the same time) of the HTC One was the "UltraPixel" camera, with a smaller sensor (of four-megapixels), but with a large physical dimension, allowing for better low-light performance. HTC has already published not one, but two teasers for the upcoming One follow-up, and the third one just recently landed. It might answer some of our questions on whether the next One will sport an UltraPixel camera, or not. Of course, HTC could be misleading us, but "the new HTC One has added"... a secondary camera? You check out the video below, and, ...

Last we heard about the upcoming 2014 HTC flagship, we were presented with a couple of high-res images, backed up by a partial press render of the alleged phone showing off dual-cameras (and duotone, dual flashes) on the back. The leaks seem to continue with what appears to be a complete gallery featuring the purported HTC One follow-up (coming from China, hence the China Mobile carrier branding on the back of the device). You will not only be able to see almost every angle of The All New HTC One (tentative name), but you will also see the phone being sized-up against the HTC One Max ...

We also go through what to expect from Apple's A8 chip, which is rumored for the iPhone 6. Samsung follows the news as we have rumors of the price tag for the Gear 2, the Gear 2 Neo and the Gear Fit. In a nutshell, the all new HTC One is no longer a mystery, so long as the controversial leak from earlier this week is to be believed. A preproduction model found its way into the hands of 14-year-old Roshan Jamkatel, who created a lengthy (and rather shaky) walkthrough video of the M8. While Jamkatel didn't necessarily talk specs, he did confirm quite a few of the most recent rumors, such as the introduction of on-screen navigation buttons, the dual-camera setup, and a new face for BlinkFeed. The video also unveiled unexpected details, like a microSD card slot. What we didn’t need the ...

By now we've seen the all new HTC One from multiple angles, had the opportunity to watch a detailed video hands-on, and have even witnessed the start of the phone's marketing campaign. Even with the handset's launch still the better part of a month away, it's really been feeling like the new One is as good as official... well, nearly, at least. The smartphone continues to put on a show for the camera today, with a new series of images arriving, representing some of the highest-res shots we've seen to date of this hardware. The new One's dual rear cameras, especially, are a focal point of ...

We've got three weeks and one day to go until HTC's all new One launch event (at least that had better be what it is), and as you've no doubt already seen, the still-unannounced smartphone has been all over the place lately. That video hands-on was truly remarkable for amount of detail it offered, and even HTC itself has been publishing some teaser vids of its own. This evening we switch from video previews to some more traditional advertising, while also checking out the new One's FCC paperwork. HTC's UK account shared the image above, which is promoting some sort of launch event tie-in ...

When it comes to HTC's unannounced all new One, the phone that's been in development as the M8, this past week has seen a flood of new information arrive to help form our expectations prior to any official unveiling. That included things like talk about the phone's camera hardware and the leaks of some new renders, but also some new video. The most exciting may be the one we saw arrive overnight, giving us a lengthy hands-on look at the unreleased handset, but before that surfaced, we had an official teaser from HTC. Now a second such teaser is available, focusing on another aspect of the ...

"Today is February 19th, Wednesday, and ... this phone is not out yet. But I get the phones early because I'm ... sponsored." So begins the most lengthy, in-depth, and thoroughly shady phone-leak video we've ever laid eyes on, and it stars none other than HTC's as-yet unreleased flagship, the All New HTC One (previously known as the M8). In addition to an up-close-and-personal view of a star-spangled comforter, we're treated to a full tour of what appears to be a black All-New HTC One for AT&T's network. Included in this tour: a side-by-side comparison with last year's HTC One, ...

We've seen in-the-wild shots of varying degrees of trustworthiness, we've seen apparent press renders in a variety of shades, and with less than a month to go until HTC's launch event, the all new One is now starting to show up with some of the carrier branding it will sport as it descends on the US. With all those renders that have arrived already, how does this one compare? Remember late last week when a pair of images surfaced in gray and silver, but with more differences between them than just the color? This new shot has more in common with that silvery model, though the shade here is ...

There's been no shortage when it comes to leaks of the HTC M8, the phone that looks like it's going to launch as the all new One in just a few weeks. A number of pictures of the phone's hardware have crossed our desk, some more believable than others, and last week we saw a bunch of high-quality renders of the handset. Was the book already closed on the M8's design? Well, maybe not; even in that most recent leak we spotted a number of discrepancies, and now a new image shows additional changes. Two things really stand out to us in the above pics. First, there's that new ring around the ...

The first few months of each year are a very important time for mobile manufacturers. The second week of the year is the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas, where thousands of consumer electronic makers flood to the city to showcase the latest and greatest to affiliates, the press and, thus, the rest of the world. Each year, there are a handful of new, attention-grabbing handsets unveiled in Vegas. A month and a half after CES wraps-up, Mobile World Congress begins in Barcelona, Spain. By nature, the mobile-centric show is a solid launch platform for new smartphones and tablets. At MWC ...

With MWC wrapping-up (tomorrow is the last official day), HTC is seizing upon the opportunity to redirect our attention from all the new MWC 2014 launches to its own big launch event, the all new HTC One we expect it to reveal in just under a month, on March 25. As we try to work out some more of the details regarding this new hardware (like just what's going on with those dual rear cameras), HTC is getting a lot bolder with what it's saying about the launch event, and today publishes a teaser video where it unambiguously talks about its plans for the all new HTC One. The video starts off ...

The MWC 2014 buzz is already starting to die down, and it won't be long until Barcelona is a memory, and we start obsessing over the next big thing. For a lot of smartphone fans, that means wanting to learn what HTC's up to with The All New One, aka M8. Much of the phone's story has started falling into place, and with HTC's event scheduled for a month from today, it's just a matter of time before we get confirmation. In the meantime, we hear a little about how those unusual dual rear cameras may operate, as well as tackle a theory about the phone's naming. From numerous leaks, it's clear ...

But there's also plenty of news of the non-Mobile World Congress variety, from the endless leaks focusing on the "All-New HTC One" to speculation surrounding the Galaxy S 5 launch date - and we'll be spending plenty of time on that, too. Plus, Taylor Martin has finally spent enough time with his suitcase-coddled Lumia Icon to develop some ...

Two days ago, as an aside to a rumor about the launch name the HTC M8 would take when it goes public next month, we heard a little about the color options the phone would offer, including gold, silver, and gray. Then yesterday a press render of The All New One in gold surfaced, giving us a spectacular view of the handset. Would those silver and gray editions soon follow? You had better believe it, and images of both versions arrived in the wee hours of the morning, joined by new rumors about an upcoming HTC phablet. While neither of these pics look that interesting on their own, we are ...

Last night us brought us the somewhat controversial rumor that HTC would launch its follow-up to last year's One as little more than “The All New One.” Our thoughts on how wise a naming decision that may be aside, the rumor also brought some new details about the color selection HTC might make available for the handset, suggesting that instead of red and blue options joining the standard silver and dark gray, a gold version could be introduced, and right at launchtime, at that. Today we get our first look at just how that hardware may appear. No surprise here: this is the same M8 we've ...

Last year, we saw HTC's codename M7 blossom into the HTC One, one of the most recognizable phones to launch in 2013 and winner of our Pocketnow Readers' Choice award. Now with its follow-up nearly ready to launch, what name will the M8 take for its commercial debut? We're a little over a month away from getting official confirmation, but now new rumor attempts to nail-down just how the phone will arrive, and it's not a name we're loving upon first hearing it. HTC Two? Nah, that would make too much sense. HTC One+? Try getting that past those CyanogenMod phone guys. Instead, @evleaks (who ...
