Easily one of the most anticipated Androids – if not smartphones, period – to cross our path in recent memory, the all new 2014 HTC One has kept us fascinated over the course of these past weeks and months, starring in leak upon leak and fueling waves of speculation and rumor. Today we put all those whispers and guesswork behind us, as HTC takes to the stage to formally announce its latest flagship: the HTC One (M8). As expected, the new One features a 5.0-inch 1080p display, runs a Snapdragon 801 SoC at 2.3GHz, and has 2GB of RAM. The phone will be available in 16GB and 32GB storage ...

The HTC M8 leaks again, just as we were wondering what else is there to say at the event that would surprise us. This time around, following up on yesterday's hands-on video leaked (in German), we're seeing the M8 being compared to its predecessor, the 2013 flagship, the M7. Embedded below, for your viewing pleasure, is a video coming from TechSmartt on YouTube. The comparison looks at similarities and differences in design, hardware, software, and performance. The official unveiling event happens later in the day, but this video should get you through the waiting. Enjoy all nine minutes ...

The new HTC One may not be launching until tomorrow, but at this point, you'd be excused for not realizing it wasn't already out. As if the unstoppable torrent of leaks hasn't been enough, we're now seeing carriers themselves jump the gun, and Rogers up in Canada has already put its seemingly complete new One listing online. Interestingly, the phone is referred to here as the “HTC One (M8),” just like it was in a Verizon leak from last week. While the “all new One” label that's been bouncing around has seemed certain enough, we were surprised to see the phone's codename M8 show up, ...

Saying that Verizon was late to the HTC One party back in 2013 is a slight understatement, as the flagship made its way to Big Red months after landing on its competitors' line-up. However, this year, we've seen a lot of 2014 HTC One leaks, and, from those, there were many involving Verizon, whether that's renders with the phone wearing the carrier logo, a retail box, or the most recent leak. There might be an explanation to that, as, according to a recent report citing "trusted" sources, Verizon will have a "couple of weeks" of exclusivity for the 2014 flagship. The phone will reportedly ...

By this point we don't have a ton of outstanding questions about the all new HTC One the company plans to introduce at next Tuesday's launch event, but one that's managed to hang around concerns just when the handset will be available for sale. We've heard from one UK retailer that it expects to have the phone in its stores just minutes after HTC's event, but is this going to be the case everywhere? Would US carriers similarly scramble to get the new One into users' hands, or would they take their sweet time? While we still don't have any official answers about US availability, we do have ...

Planning to keep HTC's all new One launch countdown open in a dedicated browser tab for the next four days? Already putting your cash together on the chance that these announcements of launch-day retail availability pan out, and the phone could be in your hands by this time next week? We don't blame you for your excitement, and this evening we've got a couple new finds to tease you with, as we see Verizon getting its ducks in a row for the new One's launch. The pic you see up top was already pretty cropped by the time it came our way, but while we don't get a good look at the case itself, ...

We're finally looking at matter of days – not months, not weeks – until HTC takes the stage and holds up the all new 2014 HTC One for us to finally get an official look. Even with as much that's already come to light about the smartphone, we're still itching to see this puppy formally launch, and we're sure that Android fans the world around feel much the same way. When the time comes next Tuesday, we'll have Pocketnow crew on the ground to bring you first-hand coverage from the company’s New York launch event, but if you're also interested in seeing some of the action for yourself, ...

When it comes to the 2014 all new HTC One, there's not a lot lot we don't know by this point (due in no small part to the phone leaking like it's Deepwater Horizon – too soon?). Earlier this week, we touched upon a few of these outstanding mysteries, and one of this bigger ones concerned the phone's dual cameras – we saw a number of optical specs mentioned in various leaks, but the actuall resolutions of those dual rear cameras continued to elude us. Would this be another four megapixel situation? As the days count down to the new One making its debut, we start to get some answers, ...

One week to go until HTC unveils the all new One: that much me know. We have a few unanswered questions about the smartphone (and many more we think we think we know the answers to, but still could stand to have some confirmation), but really the bulk of the phone feels like it's already revealed itself to us, by means of the dozens of leaks we've seen so far. But for all the information we've been able to put together, one very important detail has mostly eluded us: when might you actually be able to purchase the new One? Would availability follow the launch event by a day? A week? A ...

Home stretch, here we come; with just one week and one day to go until HTC launches its all new One, excitement for the Android handset runs high. Even if we were largely in the dark, we'd still eagerly be awaiting the HTC flagship's debut, but the leaks we've seen so far (and man, there have been a LOT of them) have only served whet our appetites all the more. Today we start the week off with a pair of videos, checking out both the latest official teaser from HTC, as well as a hands-on clip detailing the look and feel of Sense 6.0. The team from the last couple HTC “Technical ...

A couple weeks back, some big, beautiful, crisp, high-res images of the all new 2014 HTC One showing up with some aftermarket cases would have been a big, big deal. And don't get us wrong, as it's still the sort of thing that's extremely up our alley, but after absurdly detailed hands-on videos, and leak after leak after leak of still images of the handset, not to mention its packaging and specs, well... the cat's not just out of the bag, but halfway down the block by now. Nevertheless, until HTC finally punches the launch button on this guy we're going to continue to be captivated by ...

The purpose of dual cameras on the upcoming HTC One has been a topic of debate ever since we first heard the rumors, and seen the leaks depicting the imaging system and arrangement on the back. Some were betting on 3D, while others, including us, were convinced that HTC will try to improve on overall image quality as well as focus. A leaked ad, seen below, details the purpose of dual cameras, while at the same time confirming The All New HTC One denomination of the upcoming 2014 flagship. Apparently, the main raison d'être of the secondary camera is to choose focus. Nokia (and, more ...

Ever since the launch of the original HTC Touch Diamond, who can deny that HTC knows how to make some great wallpapers and ringtones? Most of us find ourselves hunting for these wallpapers after the launch of an HTC flagship, and the dev community has done a great job in sharing them in many forums. Now what's interesting is that as of today, you won't have to wait for the HTC M8 to launch to get some love. As many as 18 of the wallpapers we can expect to see on the HTC M8 got leaked today, and judging by some of the additional leaks we've seen, plus the fact that these images are all darn ...
