Watch today's Pocketnow Daily as we talk about the Nexus 4 availability in stores, even though that might change by the time this video goes live. We next talk about Asus and Google working on a newer version of the Nexus 7 with a better display and design. HTC makes the news next as we now have confirmed dates and invites for their M7 press event. Then the iPad 5 takes the spotlight as we find images of the new design, which is exactly as we currently see the iPad mini, only bigger obviously. We end today's show talking about Apple's release of a 128GB iPad 4 and question the need for it ...

You know all those rumors about a pre-MWC HTC event for February 19? The ones that came back around just earlier this morning, again hinting at would could be the company's launch event for its rumored M7 flagship? Well, we still can't positively say just what HTC plans to announce, but the event itself has just become quite real, upon HTC distributing invitations. We had previously speculated that if HTC really was going to get a heard start on MWC-proximal announcements, it was going to need to get invitations out really soon. Well, sure enough, HTC has confirmed that it's holding a ...

The HTC M7 is probably one of the most anticipated phones of this period and, while seeing numerous leaks, rumors and speculation including renders, we were convinced that HTC will unveil this phone at MWC in Barcelona. Later on came the first reports according to which the company might consider going the Apple/Samsung way, as in announcing the device at a dedicated special event, prior to MWC. On that exact note, today's report is citing sources in the supply chain who seem to agree. According to these, the M7 will probably be unveiled in London -- where Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S III ...

The HTC M7 is next as we've discovered a video on how the device will hopefully look. Then we go through our recent coverage of the HTC Windows Phone 8X After The Buzz and our video on the ParanoidAndroid UI that allows you to get Android's tablet UI on any device. We just got done showing you some shots of what may be new iPhone components, and now we switch gears and head over to Android-land, with a new hands-on video to check out of HTC M7 parts. ETradeSupply got its hands on a couple pieces of hardware that appear to be of HTC's highly-anticipated M7. There's the phone's rear panel, which is a dead-ringer for the pictures we've already seen, as well as a middle piece, but no front to go with them. Still, that's enough for doing some comparisons with other HTC models, and while a departure from the One series, it's quite clear that the M7 will ...

Watch today's Pocketnow Daily as we talk about the new reports of more iOS domination in the United States. Then we do a little Siri talk, as it seems that Verizon was originally the company after buying the service before Apple did. A leaked Samsung roadmap is next and it's all about the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 that's rumored for the next coming weeks. Nokia later takes the spotlight with some unconfirmed rumors of EOS Windows Phone devices coming with better camera technology. We end today's show talking about HTC Sense 5.0 and some recent leaks we came upon. All this and more after ...

With all the rumors and leaked pics, HTC's next flagship, the M7, has felt like it's nearly about to go official, and with the Mobile World Congress coming up in just a month, it seemed like the perfect venue for HTC to make the phone public. Then again, MWC threatens to be quite the crowded shindig, and maybe HTC wants to give the M7 the attention the handset rightfully seems to deserve. A new rumor seems to support that line of thinking, claiming that HTC will announce the M7 at a separate event the week before MWC 2013. A tweet from an Italian smartphone aficionado with "connections in ...

Life frequently defies our expectations. For example, if it's your first full season covering mobile-technology trade shows, sometimes you find your expectations for a nice, quiet lull between CES and MWC completely upset -toppled, really- by reality. For this editor, that reality came fast and fierce, delivering an unbelievable bounty of rumor and speculation at his doorstep on the morning of this week's Pocketnow Weekly podcast. The bright side: you get to hear all the latest news and gossip surrounding Galaxy S IV and Note 8.0 speculation; HTC's Droid DNA upgrade with a very James ...

Watch today's Pocketnow Daily as we talk about the recent announcement of the Sony Xperia Tablet Z, which will apparently make the iPad mini look overweight. Sony later takes the spotlight again as rumors of their first phablet emerge as well. The Nexus 10 goes next as it seems we'll see a minor hardware refresh at MWC 2013. An iPhone math, yes weird name included, is next as apparently Apple is working on a larger iPhone prototype. All this and more after the break. In a mobile world that runs on rumor and speculation, the HTC device codenamed the "M7" is this season's belle of the ball. The smartphone broke cover courtesy of an analyst leak back on December 5th, and it's been generating all manner of excitement ever since. That's not just because the M7 is purported to be an Android flagship device (though that's scintillating enough on its own). The M7 is especially intriguing because its parent company has, for over a year, been trying to claw itself out of a hole it fell into back in 2011. If it were a less remarkable corporation, that wouldn't ...

Yesterday we brought you a new HTC M7 render to check out, though as interesting as it was, a lot of its impact was mitigated by the news that this was no official HTC image, and one instead created as more of a speculative guess by HTC fans. In spite of that, we heard that the front side of the phone was reportedly a close match to the real deal, and lacking a better alternative (as this seemed to conflict with an earlier render of the phone's face), at least it was something. Today, however, we get something that just might be legit, as well as some new Sense 5.0 pics to check out. ...

Read OnUpdate 2: As we received more information about the matter we wanted to share that with you alongside some clarifications we just received from Bartosz of Czujnym Okiem. First of all, the render above is not an official HTC render, meaning it doesn't originate from the phone maker; however, certain people who claim to have access to an HTC M7 photo -- the front, to be more specific -- can confirm that the device render above corresponds to the photo of the M7 they have access to. We're also being told that while the front of the device looks legit, the back is not. Those who rendered the ...

January: the post-holiday comedown mixes with the post-CES recovery and pre-MWC quiet to form a lull of epic proportions. Fortunately though, leaks and rumors never stop, and we've got a few of them to bat around on this episode of the Weekly. Today, Joe Levi and Anton D. Nagy each return to the podcast to talk rumored Sony Xperia tablets, LG Windows Phones, and the will-it-never-die speculation surrounding a cheap iPhone. Also making the cut: the HTC M7 and Samsung Galaxy S IV, the Huawei Ascend W2, and some far-out pseudo-news regarding LG's supposed "Nexus 5" and "Nexus 7.7." All that, ...

Sony follows the news as we go through their recent Playstation Mobile deals, and who they apply for. Over the past few weeks, the hot HTC phone to talk about has been the M7, first showing up in rumors early last month, later appearing on a leak of HTC model names, and possibly even appearing on camera at one point. Was that really the M7, though? At the time we had no real reason to doubt the claim, but today the first render of the M7 has leaked, showing off a quite different design. This image comes to us through the highly reliable evleaks, so we've got good reason to suspect that this is the real deal. That elaborate grille-work at the top and bottom of the handset is reminiscent of ...
