The HTC One Mini has been allegedly leaked, even though we've seen purported renders of the device more than a month ago. More recently the phone, or one very closely resembling it, has popped up in an image alongside other alleged prototypes or upcoming devices. According to an Estonian website that ran these pictures (and more, at the source link below), we can expect the HTC One Mini to pack a 4.3-inch display with 720p resolution, a dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and apparently the same four-megapixel "Ultrapixel" camera found on the HTC One. If the ...

Not all of us have read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, so not all of us were exactly qualified to make the lame joke that kicks off this week's podcast. But we made it, and we stand behind it. Because as hundreds of fifth-rate "manufacturers" well know, sometimes you just have to fake it. But we're not talking about secondhand knockoff products in this episode of the Weekly. Rather, we get serious about octa-core comparisons, the till-recently-mythical HTC M4, the insanely cheap new Lumia out of Finland, and just how tired we are or aren't of the Samsung Galaxy S 4. In between, we ...

We have heard a whole lot of claims about the HTC M4 over the past several months. Some of those suggested it would be a smaller version of the HTC One, with a metal body and all. Some said that the M4 would be more like an HTC First sans Facebook, with the same 4.3-inch 720p screen. Today a very believable-looking render of the phone has arrived alongside some updated specs and it sort of seems like everyone was right: we get that HTC One look alongside that HTC First display. While there are a few tweaks, the design here is largely the same as the One's. The only changes we can spot are ...

Rumors of the HTC M4 started off pretty strong, with a short list of hardware specs giving us a nice idea of what to expect from the handset. Since then, things have been a little more shaky, and similarities between those specs and some details of the HTC First, as well as several HTC models destined for China, has had us reconsidering what we should expect the M4 to really be. Now the latest rumor to arrive claims that the M4 will have a metal frame like the One (which was once the M7) and talks a little about how it could arrive. Despite the understanding that the M4 would be somehow ...

The HTC One is so exciting because it delivers a whole bunch of new ideas, all in one package. From the metal build, to the UltraPixel camera, to the stereo Boom Sound speakers, there are a lot of things HTC is trying to do differently. We've wondered how many of these might find a home in future HTC devices, and now we're starting to get our first look, upon HTC model 606w appearing in a Chinese phone database. Right away you'll notice those dual speaker grilles framing the phone's face, giving away the presence of Boom Sound. That's just the start of it, though, as this 606w is believed ...

Remember the HTC M4? We heard the codename leaked back in February, along with some hardware specs. Now that the HTC First is official, some similarities between it and the M4 start to become apparent; both handsets use 4.3-inch 720p displays, for instance. While not all of the specs quite match up between the two, a new rumor puts forth some tweaked specs for the M4 that line up with the First closely enough to get us wondering if the M4 might be the non-Facebook version of the First, or simply one available on additional carriers. Specifically, the processor on the M4 is now supposed to ...

Just last week we learned about a certain HTC M4, which might accompany the upcoming M7, according to reports, for this year's line-up. The rumors were suggesting a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon SoC, 4.3-inch 720p screen, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13-megapixel rear camera, LTE capability and Android 4.2 on-board with HTC Sense 5 on top of it. The Chinese Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center has posted a couple of images of the device above, codenamed HTC 603e. The specs are mostly in-line with the HTC One SV and SU with the 4.3-inch WVGA display, 1.2 GHz dual-core ...

Then Samsung takes the spotlight as we cover all the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean updates for legacy devices like the original Galaxy Note. Chances are high that the HTC M7 will be announced on February 19 and displayed at MWC but it looks like the Taiwanese phone maker still has a couple of other phones up its sleeve for this year. These new devices might be part of the same family as the M7 but could be launched separately. We hope to see them at MWC but according to reports spring is when they'll be available. The HTC M4 should definitely have something in common with the M7 judging by the naming convention. It is rumored to sport a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon SoC, 4.3-inch 720p screen, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, ...
