The Nokia Lumia 928 is no secret anymore, with all the leaks we've recently seen, and with rumored launch details talking about a certain April 25 announcement followed by either a May 2 or May 9 availability. Today's leak features a render of the device, but this time, alongside the front and back part of the phone, which we've already seen, we get a chance to take a look at both sides too (revealing the volume rockers, power button and camera button on the right edge). All that's left is an official announcement with exact pricing and availability but that shouldn't be far our now. ...

With all the leaked renders, hardware rumors, and images of phone components we've been seeing, it's sure been looking like the Nokia Lumia 928 has been nearly ready to drop. While the phone is at its heart the same Lumia 920 we saw launch last fall, improvements like an AMOLED display and a xenon flash give the 928 just enough polish to have us eagerly awaiting its retail availability; just when will that be, though? A new rumors attempts to reveal just that, claiming that Verizon could be planning to announce the 928 in one week, on April 25. Following that announcement, the carrier ...

A little over a month back, we heard a number of rumors about the Nokia Lumia 928. While the jury's still out on some of them, others have found themselves some recent corroboration, like the mention of a xenon flash that seems to be present on the leaked renders we've since had a chance to examine. Now one more of those details is sounding confirmed, as a new report attempts to detail the 928's display. It was previously mentioned the the 928 may ditch the 920's LCD screen in favor of an AMOLED component, and according to Etrade Supply, which seems to have gotten its hand on an early ...

Stuff comes up, folks. Sometimes you've got a pressing appointment in Romania, or a meeting scheduled in Media, PA. Sometimes you're at the day job, other times you're off the grid somewhere in the country. Other times you're buying a car. These things happen. Fortunately for us, these things don't usually happen all at once, which means the Pocketnow Weekly podcast usually features more than two people on the air. But today, listeners, Lady Luck was not with us. Today, Sam the Scheduler was out sick, because every member of the Pocketnow team was otherwise engaged when it came time to ...

According to the latest leaks a certain Nokia Lumia 928 is on its way to Verizon and judging by the leaked renders of the black phone, as well as the follow-up white phone render, it appears to be a Lumia 920 on steroids, while maintaining the general aspect and feature guidelines of the Nokia flagship. Most probably based off of these leaked renders user PhoneDesigner on Facebook has published these renders of the "Lumia 928". The back grill as well as the PureView branding on the camera and the Xenon flash also seems to match the leaked renders, in addition to the speaker below the ...

Oh no! Just how many variations on the same design can the market take? I guess the fair answer to that is different from person to person and there's always the good old saying according to which you shouldn't fix something that is not broken (or, in this case, that still sells). Apple's iPhones look fairly the same; of course there are differences from one major iteration to the other (3, 4, 5) but the design principle is alike. Before Samsung launched its Galaxy S 4 I was praying for a new design because the current pebble-like aspect has been used and abused like a good old... Galaxy S ...

Later we talk about the Samsung S Orb Camera software project, which doesn't seem that groundbreaking now that we get some leaks. Later it's Google Play Store leaks and Babel Chat services for Google in the near future. We end today's show talking about the possibility of Google buying the Whatsapp messenger service. Over the weekend we got what appears to be our first real look at Nokia's Lumia 928 for Verizon, with a leaked render of the handset in black surfacing. This on its own was big news, as we've been tracking evidence of the 928 for some time now, showing up in smartphone databases and having a few of its camera's images posted online. As we wait to learn how the carrier will finally put the phone up for sale, we've got one more look at the 928 to take, now showing off the phone in white. While this is only a rear look, the front of this white version presumably keeps the same general layout ...

After the success of the Nokia Lumia 920 for AT&T, the web has been packed with rumors of a counterpart to be released on the Verizon network and dubbed the Nokia Lumia 928. Some rumored it being made of aluminum as part of Nokia's project Catwalk, but as the leaked images that we found today show, it seems that aluminum and Lumia won't marry just yet. The leaked photos show a device made of polycarbonate, and in an interesting twist, it looks nothing like the Nokia Lumia 920 aesthetically. They are both reported to have identical specs, but this Lumia 928 packs a design that resembles ...

The Nokia Lumia 928 for Verizon is pretty much just a rumor at the moment but rumors don't post images to the internet -- and good ones at that -- like we've recently seen one yesterday. There were a couple of more images uploaded but have since been removed -- just like the one from yesterday. The Nokia Blog grabbed grabbed the EXIF data below and it definitely references the Lumia 928. On a related note, an alleged screenshot seems to not only confirm the phone but also unveil its future possible color variants: white, black, red, and cyan. File this under the "R" folder alongside ...

From what we've been hearing, the Nokia Lumia 928, the cousin of the 920 that looks like it will be finding a home at Verizon, should have a pretty great camera. While sharing the same eight-megapixel PureView with the 920 would be cause for celebration enough, it's also been rumored that the 928 could have a real xenon flash, instead of just LEDs. We've yet to get a look at the 928 itself, but today we get to see what could be the first output from the phone's camera, upon a sample image being discovered on Picasa. While uncovered by none other than evleaks, this image originated from a ...

It's been rumored since the original 920 debuted last year, and now it feels like a Verizon version of that smartphone could finally be just around the corner. We've been talking about this so-called Laser for weeks now, and recently saw both an unknown Verizon Nokia smartphone pop up at the FCC as model RM-860, and saw a mention of the Lumia 928 on a leaked Verizon doc. Now it's time to get specific, and the latest rumor says that this 928 will be hitting Verizon sometime next month. There have been rumors of an upcoming Nokia model codenamed Catwalk that might switch to aluminum from ...
