We've been bringing you our best quality mobile-tech podcast once a week for over a year now, and we're not about to break that streak on one of the biggest tech weeks of the year. Sure, we might've missed our usual Wednesday/Thursday time slot, and we might've even technically missed the weekend dividing line, depending on what time zone you're in - but you know what? We've just capped off four days of intense video coverage with a midnight podcast from one of the most echo-filled hotel rooms in all of Berlin, and we're uploading it through the technological equivalent of a 1999-era AOL ...

Despite being announced on July 23 by the now Microsoft-acquired Nokia, we couldn't help but shoot just one more hands-on video as yesterday's IFA festivities wound down here in Berlin - this time with the Lumia 625, a mid-range Windows Phone that's nearly as appealing as its flagship siblings. The Nokia Lumia 625 packs a 4.7 inch WVGA display with a PPI rating of 201. Nokia's Lumia Amber updates spruce up Microsoft's core Windows Phone 8 OS, and a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, helped by a modest amount of 512MB of RAM, sit at its heart. That modesty continues in the form of its 8GB of ...

There was little to no doubt that the Nokia Lumia 625 is the "big" announcement the Finns were teasing yesterday. There were also some last minute leaks to back the theory up and now the Nokia Lumia 625 became official through a press release coming from Espoo. The specs we've heard yesterday turned out to be right. The Nokia Lumia 625 packs a 4.7 inch WVGA display with a PPI rating of 201. Powering everything is Windows Phone 8 (with the Lumia Amber version) and a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, helped by a modest amount of 512MB of RAM. There's also a modest amount of 8GB internal storage, ...

We shared a teaser with you this morning from Nokia, promising "something big" for us tomorrow, and leaving us with an image of a Nokia logo on an orange background. We tossed around a couple theories, but didn't have anything hard to go on. As luck would have it, a new Lumia 625 leak contains a spec sheet along with a render of the phone, which will arrive... in orange, seemingly confirming it as the subject of tomorrow's announcement. It does make sense as "something big," as with a 4.7-inch screen, it's the largest of Nokia's Lumia Windows Phone handsets to date. The specs here paint ...

Never let it be said that Multimedia Manager Jaime Rivera isn't a trouper. In the hot Honduras heat, with no power and no A/C (and, incidentally, no shirt), he still manages to show up on-time to the Pocketnow Weekly podcast. That right there is some broadcast heroism, folks. No matter what Taylor Martin's new-office excuses are. But that's not what we're here to talk about. No, we're about a week overdue for an audio-only examination of Nokia's newest flagship, the Lumia 1020: we'll cover it's high, low, and so-so points, and debate just how much action a phone has to bring to be worth ...

The future Nexus 7 is next as it seems that it might become more expensive in its future iteration. Verizon's Motorola Droid Ultra takes the spotlight next as it seems they might get announced next week. We end today's show talking about the Google event scheduled for next week as well, and what we might get from it. ...

The just-announced Nokia Lumia 1020, what with its 41-megapixel PureView camera, has easily been the company's most-rumored smartphone in a long while. That said, it hasn't been the sole focus of Nokia rumors so far this year, and on more than one occasion we've heard talk of Nokia's work towards a phablet-sized Windows Phone device. So far, though, there hasn't been much in the way of evidence to back up those claims. Today may mark that starting to change, with the arrival of some imagery that – while falling short of what we'd call a "phablet" itself – does show Nokia pushing itself ...

How about some Nokia rumors while we wait for the EOS/Elvis/Zoom/Lumia 1020/Lumia 909? According to this recent report, for which you'll need a lot of salt, in addition to the "R" folder and skeptical hat, Nokia is not only preparing tablets, but it also might have a truckload of phablets planned. The information comes from an "anonymous" source and its veracity can't be, for the moment, verified. Treat it accordingly! Nokia recently trademarked a certain "ZOOM" moniker and apparently, this will be a family of products. As far as tablets are concerned, Nokia is preparing, according to this ...
