The Nokia Lumia 1320 was announced for Europe and Asia on October 22, 2013. Other markets were later added to the list of regions where the phablet would eventually become available, but, so far, there was no word on US availability. However, if you're in the US, and you just can't wait to grab a Lumia 1320, Cricket Wireless has got you covered. Starting this Friday, June 13, you'll be able to grab the phablet online for $229.99, after a $50 mail-in-rebate Cricket Visa Promotion Card. The Lumia 1320 is definitely not a phone worth switching carriers for, but, if you're already on ...

It was October 22 when Nokia announced the Lumia 1320. If you need a reminder, the phablet packs a six-inch 720p screen, a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card), five-megapixel main shooter, and a 3,400mAh battery. After its introduction at Nokia World 2013 in Abu Dhabi, the Lumia 1320 "will begin sales today in China, followed by Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and other countries in the coming weeks", as the official wording from Nokia puts it. It will be gradually rolled out to other markets ...

Fun fact: flame wars, petty bickering, and troll hijinks aren't just confined to the online world; they find a ready home in corporate tactics as well. That's a reality we were reminded of this week, as Apple announced its new iPad family on the same day Nokia unveiled not just its first Windows-based tablet, but also the first-ever Windows Phone phablets, at its Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi. Predictably, the Apple news obliterated Nokia's announcement in the news cycle - but, the Pocketnow Weekly being a platform-agnostic, equal-opportunity podcast, we're gonna cover both new device ...

If you thought that Nokia was just working on one phablet according to the rumors, well the company has proven that it's also capable of keeping things under the radar, even if these things aren't as hot as we'd wish they'd be. Lust as we saw the big and mid-ranged Lumia 625 earlier this year, Nokia has also announced a larger sibling to serve the mid-ranged European and Asian market. This new phablet is being dubbed the Lumia 1320, which yeah, has a name that makes the Lumia 1020 look bad if we were to follow the numerical designators. The device sports a dual-core processor we're still ...

Apple's not the only one with big news coming soon, and in just a matter of hours, Nokia's throwing a Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi. There's a lot to cover here, so let's dive right in to the device that feels like it's the nexus of this announcement, the Lumia 1520. Well, it wasn't always the 1520 - not to us anyway. We've been talking about the general idea of a phablet-sized Lumia for a while, and back in August, that started taking shape as a phone codenamed Bandit. Before the month was out, we heard that Bandit might launch as the 1520, and our first look at fully-assembled hardware ...

Yesterday, we heard the name Lumia 1320, along with the note that the handset had been under development at Nokia as codename "Batman." We speculated a little about what sort of phone it might be, but not having anything to go on besides that name, our options were pretty limited. Today there's some new chatter about the 1320, but instead of helping to clarify the situation, we're left not being quite sure what to believe. First, we have that leaked image above, purporting to be the Lumia 1320. A couple things are weird about it, though: it looks exactly like the supposed 929 renders we've ...

Two weeks from now is October 22, when Nokia is set to reveal its next wave of handsets. Of the half-dozen models we've been told to expect, some are bound to be Lumias. At the forefront of what's likely is the Lumia 1520, and we also might see the 929 or 2520 tablet. This morning we have one new candidate to add to the mix, the Lumia 1320. Unfortunately, much like those Motorola hardware rumors we just heard, there's not much in the way of spec details to accompany this phone's name, either. We do learn that the 1320 was apparently in development at Nokia under codename Batman, but ...
