Eldar Murtazin successfully predicted the Galaxy S 4 launch last year, and, as it appears, he was just a day off in predicting the Galaxy S 5 launch for February 23. This, of course, in case Samsung is really showing off the next flagship at its February 24 MWC special event (and all the signs point to that, including a big @ss "5" right on the invite). Murtazin took it to Twitter to unveil what he claims to be the Samsung Galaxy S 5 specs. We're likely looking at a Super AMOLED screen or 5.24 inches in diagonal and a QHD 2K resolution of 1440 x 2560. That results in a PPI rating of about ...

We all remember what Samsung did with the ATIV S: the South Korean phone-maker took the Galaxy S III and slapped Windows Phone on it. It later made its way, more or less, to Verizon as the ATIV Odyssey. Apparently that's a move that worked out quite well, as Samsung is preparing to repeat the stunt: we've been consistently hearing about the SM-W750V, and there was strong indication that it might soon land on Verizon with the codename Huron. Now this Huron is exactly what you see above, according to @evleaks, in this Samsung Huron press render. If it looks exactly like your Galaxy S 4, you ...

The Nokia X will be part of the Asha line-up. This is basically what an unnamed Senior Nokia India Executive unveiled, under the condition that his identity should be not unveiled. Additionally, said executive also unveiled that the phone will be available in India in March, in which context an MWC announcement could be highly likely. The specs that got leaked include a dual-core Snapdragon processor clocked at 1GHz, 512MB of RAM, four-inch screen with WVGA resolution, 4GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD), five-megapixel shooter sans flash (from all the renders and leaks), ...

Exactly one week ago we've heard rumors that HTC might ditch the current capacitive button approach, find on its devices, and use on-screen buttons for the upcoming M8 instead. We're now seeing how these might look on the screen of the HTC One follow-up, as per the image above. Needless to say that, if true, such a placement will free up some bezel space on the device which might end up either smaller, or, at worse, the same in terms of dimensions, despite the rumored larger, five-inch screen. Of note is also the fact that the back button above seems to be different than the < arrow HTC ...

HTC's European website featured a new phone complete with images and specs, until it was taken down. We understand that it was an accidental leak where someone jumped the gun, but we can't help but wonder whether this phone will be unveiled at MWC, as the first major upcoming show. The M8 is also expected sometime this quarter, but just in case we won't see the One follow-up in Barcelona, some other phone(s) could make an appearance. The Desire 310, in black and white, is no powerhouse; it features a a 4.5 inch screen with 480 x 854 resolution, a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek SoC, 512MB of ...

If 2013 is of any indication, HTC should play the same card in 2014 too. On February 19 (note, before MWC 2013) HTC announced the One flagship and on July 18 the company unveiled its smaller sibling, the HTC One Mini. This year, the HTC M8 (the One+, One 2, or another name) is expected to be unveiled sometime during the first quarter of the year, bearing the model number 0P6B120 which we initially heard about back in November. According to @evleaks, the 0P6B (only first part of the model number for the M8) will be followed to the market by a certain 0P8B (our note, we're likely looking ...

The Nokia Normandy that recently changed its name to Nokia X has had its specs tentatively leaked while some benchmark results try to both confirm and size them up. According to some, the phone will never see the light of day as an Android (forked though) powered Nokia, while others believe February 25 or March 25 should be the date of the unveiling. Whatever the case, we're seeing some more images of the phone in real life. Please keep in mind that these are most probably images of a prototype and that the color is either a red one (with a camera that has poor white balance), or one ...

As far as rumors are concerned around the Galaxy S 5, they talked about a fingerprint reader -- well, they also talked about an iris scanner, for what it's worth -- and then they talked about no fingerprint reader at all. It is difficult to believe one or the other especially when hear-say is early, and it is referring to a company like Samsung, known to include all the features you need, and don't, in their phones. @evleaks has posted an image (screenshot) of a file claimed to be from the Galaxy S 5. It is called "FingerprintService.apk", and you already see where we're going with this. ...

There was a lot of back and forth concerning the camera inside the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S 5 (as in the case of the other specs of the upcoming flagship). Whether we're talking megapixel count, or the inclusion (or omission) of the optical image stabilization, rumors have tried to anticipate the shooter that will probably be the most popular in the Android world of 2014. The image above (original at the source below) isn't very telling with regards of its contents. It has been allegedly snapped with a Samsung SM-G900V device, which according to @evleaks, will be the Verizon variant of ...

It's no secret the LG Optimus G Pro from last year will get a refresh at the upcoming MWC. The arrival of the LG G Pro 2 has been hinted by the manufacturer itself but it looks like we don't have to wait until the Barcelona show kicks-off to see the device. We can see exactly what LG has up its sleeve to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note III, thanks to this recent LG G Pro 2 leak. In-line with the current design principles of the G2, this alleged G Pro 2 also features the back-mounted buttons, underneath the camera. There's also a flash and a speaker grill on the back, but we're ...

Tuesday, 25th, as it appears on the home screen of the leaked Nokia Normandy, is the date on which the phone will hopefully be unveiled. Whether that's February or March is yet unknown, as both months seem to have matching dates and days. We've just recently learned that the phone, codenamed Normandy, will likely be unveiled as the Nokia X, and now we're seeing it alleged specs being leaked. In order to run its rumored "forked" Android version the Nokia X will rely on its dual-core Snapdragon processor clocked at 1GHz, and a suspiciously low amount of RAM: 512MB. The screen is nothing to ...

You all remember the fan-made render of the HTC M8 we've seen not so long ago. It featured, among some other slight changes, on-screen buttons. HTC went with a physical button layout for the One line-up (including the One, One Mini, and One Max), but apparently, according to @evleaks, the M8 will have its buttons on the screen, pretty much like the fan-concept we've seen earlier. The HTC M8 will be the successor of the HTC One (M7) from 2013, and it is for the moment tentatively called the One+. While some reports claim HTC will show it off on the MWC show floor in Barcelona, others ...

Codenamed M8, the phone is expected to be a follow-up/refresh to last year's One flagship (the M7), tentatively named One+ or One Two. We've been hearing about this phone for quite some time, with rumors trying to both anticipate its specifications and hint its announcement date. There was even a fan-made concept of the phone. The image above (full size at the source link below) has been leaked claiming to be the upcoming phone's official wallpaper. Judging by the dimensions of the PNG file (2160x1920 pixels), we are most likely going to see a Full HD 1080p screen on the phone. Additional ...

Nokia has started sending out official press invites for a Barcelona event, and the speculation can now officially begin. Some believe that the Nokia Lumia 1520 Mini (aka 1520V) will be there, alongside the Nokia X, and maybe some others. But what exactly is the Nokia X? According to @evleaks, it's none other than the Normandy. This certain Normandy is expected to be the first official Android-powered Nokia device, running a "forked" version of Google's operating system. It's latest alleged screenshots showed off part of the interface, and a date of 25th is featured on the Calendar, which ...

Yesterday we've seen how Google and LG are planning on allegedly brining more color options to the Nexus 5 palette and, on that exact vein, today we are seeing a purported picture of the red variant of the phone. According to the report, a yellow version of the phone is expected to launch around the same time, in the same region. The time is late February, early March, and the region is Vietnam. The picture above seems to show off a red Nexus 5 caught in the wild. Whether this is a prototype of an upcoming official phone, or just a fake dummy, is yet unknown. Before you get your hopes too ...
