The Apple Watch is coming, there's no doubt about it. It would have been better (for the company, and potential users) if Apple would have done what they usually do with "available now", instead of letting six months pass from the introduction to availability, but that's not up for debate here. Mid-to-late spring is when the Apple Watch will probably be available (that is likely April, instead of March), but, even so, we've got something to get you through the waiting. The companion application via which the Apple Watch will keep in touch with your iPhone or iPad will most likely have the ...

The leaks just keep on coming, and there's no indication of them slowing down, with less than a month to go until the official Samsung pre-MWC event. Whether one phone with dual curved screen, or a flagship and a curved screen variant, the Galaxy S6, as the company's 2015 flagship, is coming, and according to SamMobile, it will be available in four colors. The 2014 flagship, the Galaxy S5, was also available in four colors: from left to right, above, electric blue, copper gold, shimmery white, and charcoal black. If this report turns out to be true, the Galaxy S6 colors will also be four, ...

Over the last week or so we've seen leaked HTC One M9 pics and a rash of descriptions of the what the hardware in HTC's yet-to-be-released flagship is likely to be. To recap, nothing is official, the leaks may be fabrications or may be deliberate and from HTC itself, or they may be completely vapor. We probably won't know any specifics until the product is actually released. However, in the interim, is there anything we can glean from all the HTC One M9 rumors? Sound HTC is famous for front-facing BoomSound speakers. If you've never heard these, they're absolutely amazing. Front-facing ...

Folks, this topic will either become subject to one of the most accurate reports and leaks of the year so far, or it will turn out to be the biggest smoke curtain/rumor fails of 2015. TL;DR: the next Samsung flagship will not pack Qualcomm's latest and greatest, the Snapdragon 810. There were a lot of Samsung Galaxy S6 Snapdragon 810 rumors going on lately, and this one claims that it will simply not happen because Samsung wants to compete, even in the SoC business, with the application processor-maker Qualcomm. According to the report, Samsung will favor its own, in-house, Exynos SoC, and ...

The next flagship from HTC is a trending topic as the device is subject to more and more rumors and leaks as we're approaching Mobile World Congress. Just a couple of days ago we've seen images allegedly depicting a prototype HTC One M9 (however, we couldn't verify the veracity of the images), and today, we're looking at some photos of another phone (at least judging by the name) as the HTC One M9 leaked again. What we are looking at here is something which seems to be more close to reality, judging by the prototype number printed on the phone. Whether this will be the final design or ...

The HTC One M9 (if the company sticks to the naming convention), or the Hima (if the Hima is indeed the codename for the 2015 flagship), is obviously what we're all looking forward to seeing at HTC's pre-MWC special event on March 1, but, just in case HTC sticks to the 2014 plan (and decides to launch the One M9 at a special event, away from MWC), we should prepare to see some Desire phones, like last year. One of these new Desire phones which stand a great chance at becoming unveiled at Mobile World Congress is the HTC Desire 626 leaked today, and pictured above and below, codenamed A32, ...

OPPO's Find 7 (still a powerhouse) and Find 7a were announced in March 2014, which means that it's time for a follow-up soon. MWC could very well be the venue for the OPPO Find 9, but the company has preferred to host its own special events in the past. The OPPO Find 9 leaked today proves that the Chinese phone-maker is working in a follow-up, and, since they like odd numbers, there will be no Find 8, but, instead the Find 9 is up next (with no implications or ties to the screen size). While there is no way in knowing that the picture above really depicts the OPPO Find 9, we'll just play ...

We expect HTC to show off something at the upcoming Mobile World Congress, but, opposed to the Taiwanese phone maker -- who announced its One M8 flagship post-MWC -- Samsung, its biggest competitor, has announced its Galaxy S5 flagship at the Barcelona show. Because of that, and despite not hearing anything pointing to an MWC event, we're expecting the Galaxy S6 to make an official debut in a little more than a month. Samsung Galaxy S6 specs and features were mentioned with the occasion of countless rumors we've seen in the past (from curved display to glass body, from new fingerprint ...

We can not verify the veracity of these images, above and below, so please treat everything you see and read here accordingly. How that we've got that out of the way, the stills you're seeing are claimed to represent and HTC One M9 prototype, referred to as the Hima. There's still no way of knowing for sure whether the Hima will be the One M9 or not, but this report claims so. Accompanying the images is a statement from the author of the report claiming to trust the source of these images; very well, but that doesn't mean we have to do so too. Looking at the front (above), there's really ...

Despite showing off the Desire 826 at the 2015 CES, the announcement wasn't by far what everyone expected from the Taiwanese phone maker. The HTC One M8 from 2014 was an improvement over the 2013 HTC One M7, and now we're all expecting the HTC One M9 to shake the market, and HTC's competitors. A so-called "Hima" phone has been long rumored (complete with leaked specs), but it is not yet known whether the Hima will indeed be the HTC One M9, or a completely different animal. On March 1, HTC is set to unveil something, at a pre-MWC special event. Bloomberg's unnamed sources claim that it ...

Whether you call it Windows Phone 10, or Windows 10 for phones, it is indeed the next generation Microsoft mobile platform to grace phones (how many of the current phones is yet unknown), and is expected to be unveiled next week at a certain January 21 special event. Until then, we can look at these images from China, which allegedly show off some of the details of the upcoming OS. The Windows Phone 10 leak above allegedly shows off the Start screen with a background image -- though questions arise concerning tile transparency, or lack of it -- and tile group titles which, in this ...

Samsung's tablets have evolved a lot, with the manufacturer continuously improving its offering (not at the pace of its smartphones, though); however, the South Korean manufacturer didn't release anything new for quite some time, but that doesn't mean that the manufacturer isn't hard at work on its 2015 Samsung tablet line-up. According to a recent report, the 2015 Samsung tablet line-up will contain at least four new slates, which will be part of the Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Note family of products. The report also mentions some model numbers, with their respective monikers: Galaxy Tab ...

The HTC Hima has been in the headlines for quite some time now, and we thought that the phone could turn out to officially become the HTC One M9, successor to the 2014 flagship. While that might still be the case, today's rumor talks about another device, the HTC Hima Ace Plus. We'll look at the report in a bit, but before that, we need to not overlook the "Ace" and "Plus" monickers, which could indicate that the Hima could be the HTC Ace, or the HTC M9 Ace, while the HTC Hima Ace Plus could turn out to be the M9 Max. However, all of this is speculation on unverified reports, so keep ...

The HTC One M7 Lollipop update -- or at least a pre-release or beta version of some sort of it -- has been caught on camera. The Taiwanese phone maker has officially committed to delivering the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to both the 2013 and 2014 flagship phones, the HTC One M7, and HTC One M8. The company told users to expect the firmware update around 90 days after Google finishes developing the final build. We've already seen reports and leaks showing Android 5.0 Lollipop in the HTC One M8 (and the most recent reports claim that the update is one or two weeks out), but this time we're ...

We already know what to expect from LG at CES 2015, thanks to the company not being secretive about the G Flex 2, and some eagle eyed folks who pictured the posters with the device outline, branding, and all. However, a special event has not yet happened to officially announce the phone, but an official press release, together with official press renders, have allegedly leaked, detailing the G Flex 2. The purported press release talks about a curved phone with a slightly smaller screen than its predecessor, at 5.5-inches, and a higher resolution at 1080p. The processor has also reportedly ...

So far, it's almost a general consensus among the Pocketnow Team, that our favorite Android user interfaces are either HTC Sense or the stock Android experience. Matching these interfaces together is something we're all highly anticipating, and we've kept a close eye on some leaked screenshots a few weeks ago, in addition to some possible launch dates that might happen earlier than expected. HTC promised a launch within the next 90 days from the official launch of Android 5.0 Lollipop, and new leaks prove that things are close. Some new leaked screenshots of HTC Sense running on top of ...

Whether the so called "HTC Hima" we've seen leaked/rumored last week will turn out to be the HTC One M9 -- follow-up to the M8 from this year, which replaces the M7 from 2013 -- is anyone's guess, but we've heard not one, but two reports talking about the upcoming 2015 HTC One, and its purported specs. Interestingly, they try to anticipate a 5.5-inch display but what we see here attached seems to be just a tad smaller. Despite the claims, there is no way to verify whether this is indeed a 5.2-inch front glass, let alone to verify the legitimacy of the images, or the smartphone they (will) ...

The last time we heard about the upcoming HTC phone, tentatively named "Eye", was with the occasion of a report that claimed it will sport a 13MP DuoCamera setup. At that time we thought this was no big deal, as the Butterfly 2 already ditched the "four-megapixel UltraPixel" DuoCamera in favor of a 13MP DuoCamera setup. The report was also not in line with previous rumors that claimed the "Eye" would be a "selfie-phone". Today's leak sheds some light on the matter, however, don't forget to grab your pinch of salt. For starters, we're not looking at the HTC One M8 Eye, but rather at the HTC ...

The Sony event at the Berlin IFA 2014 is just hours away, and the leaks keep on coming, trying to anticipate even more of what we'll probably see. Yesterday we've seen an alleged picture of the Sony Xperia Z3, with a spec-sheet glued to its back; that piece of paper, among specs, also mentioned a copper flavor, alongside black and white, and it's that exact new variant seems to have leaked today, in the images above and below. There's little to see here, aside from the new copper Sony Xperia Z3, but the image below also seems to feature a fourth color; call it yellow, green, or lime, it ...

Sony should unveil its next flagship, believed to be the Sony Xperia Z3, at the upcoming IFA 2014 in Berlin. All the rumors and reports seem to agree on this, and the company itself has started teasing, however, without a specific mention of the phone itself. The picture above is allegedly one snapped off of a real-life unit, which seems to have a sheet glued to its back with the Xperia Z3 specs. While the accuracy and veracity of the picture itself can't be verified, the specs we're seeing seem credible enough. We're looking at a 5.2-inch 1080p TRILUMINOS display, quad-core Snapdragon ...

Just as we suspected, the iPhone 6 rumors continue to surface. After previously seeing purported pictures of the retail box -- which raised a few questions though, with a safe to assume conclusion that we were looking at a Chinese knockoff, the GooPhone I6 -- we are now seeing, above and below, what is claimed to be a picture of the iPhone 6 backplate. In the image above we can take a close look at the camera, the flash, as well as the microphone on the back, while the picture below seems to show off the back of the device in its entirety. We can't verify the veracity of these iPhone 6 ...

We don't expect iPhone 6-related rumors, leaks, and reports to slow down; on the contrary, we're anticipating that more and more will surface until Apple will finally unveil the 2014 smartphone line-up, which everyone takes for granted will contain two iPhone 6 devices with larger screens, at 4.7 and 5.5-inches. We've recently seen some Apple logos being leaked, indicating that they most probably will not glow, and now we're looking at what is claimed to be the iPhone 6 retail box. While the veracity of the pictures (above and below) can't be verified, we're left with what we're seeing. ...

We've heard some very interesting rumors of what the iPhone 6 might do. One of the most surprising ones is a report that claimed that the Apple logo at the back would glow and provide users with notifications. While this isn't something new for Apple given its way to bring this to its MacBook line-up, we've never seen the company do this with mobile devices, and it seems that history won't change. A leaked batch of iPhone 6 Apple logos was recently caught on camera, and judging by the looks of these, they weren't made to glow. It seems that these logos mimic what we currently see in ...

A couple weeks back, we saw Kyocera release a video teasing some upcoming tech we'd be finding in its smartphones. Normally, this isn't a company we expect to see pushing many limits, but this time we were intrigued, as it was talking about sapphire screens. As we look forward to see if Apple's really delivering its next-gen iPhones with sapphire protection, Kyocera teased its own Sapphire Shield, a “truly affordable, pure sapphire display.” But just how would that arrive? We may have the answer, as one of our sources clues us in to the coming availability of the Kyocera Brigadier on ...

We've heard a lot about the LG G Vista in the recent past, with leaks, reports and rumors mentioning the device as being on its way to Verizon. Rumors about a July 18 release date clearly have not panned out, but is a launch still on its way? And if those rumors were wrong about that date, could they be wrong about other details, as well? Verizon hasn't made anything official just yet, but we've received new information from one of our tipsters which, as you can see below, attempts to clarify a few specifics about the G Vista's hardware, while also giving us a new launch date of Thursday, ...
