We've heard about the Sony Xperia Tablet Z shortly after CES, expected to pack a 10.1-inch screen with 1080p resolution, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC, 2GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage, 6,000mAh battery, Android Jelly Bean on-board of a ruggedized build. If the screenshot above is any indication then the new Sony tablet will be announced by NTT DoCoMo on January 22, after which it will be on display between January 23 and 27. The information was pulled from the "docomo smartphone lounge" which appears to be directly linked to the Japanese carrier. If the above turns out to be ...

Read OnRumors, build.prop hocus-pocus, or photo manipulation aside, it looks like somebody's been reputedly lucky to have an LG-made Google Nexus 4 shipped with Android 4.2.2 out of the box. Wait, what? Android 4.2.1 is the latest official build out. Indeed, and we've also prepared our own dose of salt, but take a look. These screenshots were allegedly taken off of an 8GB variant of the Nexus 4 "for Malaysian consumers". Despite the point-difference in the build number, the device reportedly doesn't have anything different from your everyday's Nexus 4 running Jelly Bean 4.2.1 (except "dev-keys” ...

Over the weekend a couple of screenshots were leaked purportedly from an upcoming version 5 of HTC's Sense, believed to be running on top of Android on the forthcoming (and rumored) HTC M7. Today we can take a look at two more screenshots with the first (above) allegedly depicting the new lock screen where we can see that HTC made some changes: the ring is apparently gone, weather information is being displayed and our tipster tells us that the icons have a more "holo" look. The second image (below) is reportedly a screenshot of the Settings. If this is indeed the way Sense 5's Settings ...

We've recently reported about the Acer Iconia B1, a possible upcoming competitor for the ASUS-made Google Nexus 7, and we can now tell you more information about the tablet as an early prototype review from Bulgaria is making the rounds over the interwebs. While waiting to see this tablet being unveiled at CES -- where we're live, on the floor, for all your gadget news needs -- you can take a look at some images of the slate. The price is expected to be around 349 BGN (Bulgarian Lev) which translates roughly to 178EUR or $235. For that price you're likely to get a seven-inch display with a ...

HTC equipped the Butterfly and the Droid DNA with its own Sense on top of Android, version 4+ for these particular models -- as well as the One X which is getting a newer UI thanks to a reported update. Sense 5 is rumored to be launched on the M7, which is still just subject to hear-say until CES or MWC. However, according to recent reports, the upcoming Sense 5 will bring a UI overhaul which should be “simple and clean” with an improved lockscreen, and further tweaks to HTC apps. The image above claims to be, according to a Chinese report, the dialer from HTC Sense 5, while the image ...

Read OnYou surely remember all the leak and rumor frenzy before the Galaxy S III launch last year; looks like this year it will be pretty much the same. While we still believe that the Galaxy S III follow-up will not be present at CES nor MWC -- thus making a special appearance at a dedicated event -- other reports seem to indicate otherwise. The image above is purportedly a Galaxy S IV render. You should stop right there and take moment to prepare you usual dose of salt. The report states that the final version could be different, as there's a chance this image depicts an early prototype. ...

There is little to no doubt regarding Huawei's CES line-up; thanks to both rumors and leaks we know to expect Windows Phones as well as Android powered devices next week in Las Vegas. Since we're getting close to the event press renders popping up are not at all unusual. First we have the Ascend D2, pictured above, which we've already seen captured on camera last week. Expect to see an HD resolution screen, a 1.5GHz quad-core CPU, as well as 13-megapixel camera on this device. With a four-inch screen and a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, the Huawei Ascend W1 will be powered by Windows Phone ...

The Sony Yuga and Odin, aka the Xperia Z and Xperia ZL, have been no strangers when it comes to rumors and leaks. We've recently seen the two phones allegedly captured on camera after previously hearing all sorts of hear-say about the two members of the 2013 Sony line-up. With CES just around the corner (and MWC following soon after that) the reports are becoming more and more numerous. This leak though is not your ordinary leak: it comes straight from Sony. The two press shots seen above have surfaced on the manufacturer's website and the file names are pretty self explanatory: we're ...

There were quite a few RIM-related leaks recently and the BlackBerry 10 N-Series/X10 was one of them, though shyer than the L-Series. Luckily, thanks to some leaked images, we can finally get a good look at the N-Series, the X10. Apparently Mr. Blurrycam was off for the holidays, for which we're thankful. These are alleged pictures of the X10, both front and back, and there's a third one you can check out at the source link below. Make sure to let us know of your thoughts as well as whether this phone is something you'd be interested in. There aren't that many QWERTY-enabled devices on ...

Those who are interested in Huawei phones or just follow the trend in mobile technology already know that we should expect to see at least one, if not two, Windows Phones from the Chinese phone-maker at CES 2013. The Android-powered Ascend D2 has also been rumored to make an appearance, later confirmed by the company. The pictures above reportedly depict the five-inch Ascend D2 but aside from these photos not much else is unveiled, except a confirmation of previous rumors talking about HD resolution, 1.5GHz CPU quad-core CPU and a 13-megapixel camera. The design appears to be iPhone ...

One of the trending topics in mobile this year, thanks to Samsung and its Galaxy Note II -- which we're giving away this week --, is "phablet". We've got some interesting considerations on why we think we won't see Windows Phone-powered phablets soon but today's image raises a couple of eyebrows. We've heard of the codename Juggernaut before but we couldn't find out more details beyond the rumors; that being said, the device pictured above and below is claimed by the leakster as the Juggernaut. Of course, the leakster also claims this is a new Windows Phone 8 despite the old logo on the ...

With all the back and forth regarding the launch of the Samsung ATIV S -- otherwise the first Windows Phone 8 device ever officially announced, apparently the last on the shelves -- it is reassuring to hear some good news if you are a fan of the platform and of the South Korean manufacturer. Samsung still promised a 2012 launch of the phone -- and it appeared recently on T-Mobile Austria -- and it looks like our neighbors in Canada will be the lucky ones, if this report is to be believed. According to the leak above, Friday, December 14, 2012 is the day you should be able to snatch one ...

Android 4.1.2 was spotted with the occasion of an Android 4.1.1 test firmware leak for the Samsung Galaxy Note (the first model). Now those who can't wait a minute longer for the official refresh can download a leaked test ROM for the original phablet which contains Android 4.1.2. The firmware is N7000XXLSA and it's the first 4.1.2 leak for the Note, however, it lacks S-Pen features which will probably be implemented later, towards the final release. This build is JZO54K as of November 20; it's a pre-release ROM so expect bugs alongside a lot of entries in the change log. Some of these ...

Depending on who you ask and who you tend to believe Windows Phone 7.8 will arrive in early 2013, soon, in December or in the coming weeks. Fingers crosse it will happen before the Holidays -- and for everybody who needs it, regardless of make, model or carrier -- but regardless of the exact date, it is time, as usual when releases get closer, for some leaks. This time it's the Lumia 510, the most recent addition to Nokia's budget Lumia Windows Phone line-up, to flex its muscles. In the video below, coming from China, we're seeing the upcoming Windows Phone refresh for seven-devices ...

The HTC DLX, or Deluxe, is believed to be the international variant of the J Butterfly, pretty much like the new Droid DNA on Verizon is the American flavor. We've seen it rumored and the most recent leaked images showed off some color variants of the phone. According to HTC's German Facebook page though the HTC DLX / Deluxe will not arrive to Europe. Apparently this is what the page had to reply to a user who has posted about the phone on the page's Wall. If the information is accurate and the DLX will indeed not come to Europe then what is the HTC DLX and where will it be available? Can ...
