At the HTC event at MWC 2014 we've seen Peter Chou on stage showing off the Desire 816, but the press release that was sent out also contained the HTC Desire 610, which was sadly not available in Barcelona. To refresh your memory, it packs a 4.7-inch display with qHD resolution of 540 by 960 pixels, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage (expandable), eight-megapixel camera, 1.3MP front-facer, and a 2,040mAh battery. While availability is expected in Europe for May, @evleaks has unveiled that the phone will also join AT&T's line-up in ...

LG has done a very interesting job with the G Flex. Even though lots of people still debate the need to even consider a flexible phone, that doesn't change the fact that it's been selling rather decently around the world. The company is planning to offer its Android 4.4 update for the device in the next coming weeks, and this could mean more than just a software update for you all. We've already seen how XDA-Developers was able to port the G Flex to allow 4K video recording, aside from even 120fps video recording capabilities. What we didn't expect was for LG to actually make this ...

"Today is February 19th, Wednesday, and ... this phone is not out yet. But I get the phones early because I'm ... sponsored." So begins the most lengthy, in-depth, and thoroughly shady phone-leak video we've ever laid eyes on, and it stars none other than HTC's as-yet unreleased flagship, the All New HTC One (previously known as the M8). In addition to an up-close-and-personal view of a star-spangled comforter, we're treated to a full tour of what appears to be a black All-New HTC One for AT&T's network. Included in this tour: a side-by-side comparison with last year's HTC One, ...

More mid-range devices is basically what HTC executives said the company would be doing this year, in order to try and boost sales, as well as financial numbers. The Desire line-up is already a successful one, but today's leak reveals a future possible upcoming HTC phone, dubbed the Desire 8, which could very well end up being a mid-range phablet. The specs indicate a 5.5-inch display (somewhat larger than the rumored five-inch display on the upcoming 2014 One), however, with an unknown resolution (and we hope for 720p). The camera is tipped to be a 13MP shooter (a standard one, not the ...

The 2014 HTC One has recently leaked in a picture showing off some pretty 2013 One-like looks. It also seemed to have rounder corners, and a taller form factor, more in the vein of the HTC One Mini. However, just like with the case of the alleged back leak, we're seeing something different on the front today. If previously we've seen several leaks claiming to be the real back of the 2014 HTC One, they all differed, and mainly through the positioning of the dual LED flashes (either adjacent to each other, or separated). Now something similar is going on on the front too: the previous image ...

The Windows Phone 8.1 SDK has made its way to select developers, hinting some Windows RT merger goodness, and also revealing a bunch of screenshots regarding future features. However, a video has surfaced showing the Emulator in action, demonstrating some of the features included in the build. Before you dive into it, please note that the final version might be different than what you see, and that some of the Windows Phone 8.1 features are not included with this specific version. The video below shows off some of the enhancements that will grace (hopefully) all of our existing Windows ...

Sony Xperia Z2 is the tentative name for the company's upcoming phone, with model number D6503 and codename "Sirius"; it is believed that Sony will unveil this phone, together maybe with a Windows Phone (and who knows, the Xperia Tablet Z's follow-up), at its upcoming special event in Barcelona, at the 2014 MWC. We've seen a very blurry image claiming to depict the Z2, with a super thin bezel on the sides. Now, a set of alleged Sony Xperia Z2 screenshots tries to anticipate some of the phone's software features. 4K video, alongside 60fps 1080p, recording capabilities are hinted by the ...

Update: Sorry folks! Due to circumstances beyond our control, we need to reschedule this special appearance. Pocketnow Weekly 083 will go under the mic on Thursday as scheduled, but Evan won't be able to join us. We'll still be announcing our Nexus 5 giveaway winner though, so be sure to tune in! • When we started the Pocketnow Weekly podcast back in July of 2012, it bore little resemblance to its current incarnation. There was no handy list of time codes; the music was built on an aggressive electric-guitar riff that now sounds impossibly cheesy; and subtopics like the "thought ...

February 24 is the day to look out for if you're a fan of Samsung's Galaxy S series of phones (even if you're not, it's probably one of the most important phone launches of the year). There has been a lot of speculation regarding the internals of the next generation GS5, and the image below adds some more; it allegedly depicts a part of the official retail box the Galaxy S 5 will ship in, though a regular dose of skepticism might be required. If it were true, then all those rumors talking about a 5.25-inch QHD (1440 x 2560) resolution Super AMOLED Display were spot on. The processor listed ...

Remember that leaked image of the alleged HTC M8, showing two back cameras and dual LED, about which an HTC exec implied it was PhotoShopped? Or was it about the other set of images we've seen? Either way, it looks like the idea won't die, probably fueled by all the rumors and leaked cases, or probably because there's definitely fire somewhere, as we're seeing lot of smoke. Another photo has been recently leaked, as seen above, and it seems to support the theory that the next One phone will have dual cameras (and also to support the previous leak). One thing to note here is that, opposed ...

We've heard a lot of rumors regarding a notification center inside Windows Phone lately. If the rumor that talks about the feature is true, then we also have a confirmation of Windows Phone 8.1's codename. An email has been allegedly sent out by Microsoft to the Windows Phone team that features the above image, where the "Windows Phone Blue" moniker seems to be used in an official manner while referring to Windows Phone 8.1. Also, part of the same alleged email, is a so-called Windows Phone Action Center, which would actually be the notification center the OS never had. The image below ...

Before Nokia even started teasing the phone with model number 929, dubbed the Nokia Lumia Icon for Verizon, we've heard rumors that the phone would eventually land either in February or March, leaving an open question regarding its appearance at MWC later this month. According to this latest leak, it appears that the Verizon Windows Phone will be available before the Barcelona show. WPCentral has received the screenshot above, allegedly snapped off of inventory listings. We can see the Lumia Icon listed in both black and white colors, and some dates. According to the report, you should ...

Leaks implied and predicted that the yet unannounced HTC M8 will be joined in the line-up by a certain M8 Mini, which we considered to be possible and highly likely if the Taiwanese phone-maker's 2013 release history and models are of any indication. The HTC One Mini was announced about four months after the One flagship was unveiled. Talking about the M8 Mini, @evleaks has some predictions regarding the specs on the upcoming mini phone. It will allegedly be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.4GHz, and will feature a 4.5-inch 720p screen. There will ...

The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 should land, on Verizon, as a first, with 4G LTE connectivity, later this quarter. We've learned this, and more, about Samsung's CES tablet line-up from a recent Samsung official press release. While it could land even at the end of March, and still be "later this quarter", we're getting a look at the Verizon Note Pro 12.2 in this leaked render. Courtesy of @evleaks, we're seeing the large tablet rendered above, with rater prominent branding on the back, calling out both Verizon and the 4G LTE logos. Aside from the addition of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 ...

What we have here is what appears to be the first picture of the HTC M8, in real life. We've heard a lot about the 2014 phone that will be the follow-up to the 2013 One flagship, including some weird rumors (backed up by case manufacturers) of a strange camera arrangement on the back. Nonetheless, this image seems to shed more light on it, as there will indeed be two cameras. Or will there? We're hoping it will not be called "Stereo UltraPixel" and it definitely couldn't serve a 3D purpose. So what can it be? Id sure doesn't look like a fingerprint scanner like on the HTC One Max, so our ...
