    All things considered, Apple's launch event last week very much delivered on our expectations for new hardware. Yes, the release of the Apple Watch is still months away, but at least Apple announced the wearable.     The latest iPads have been with us for a week now. Well – the idea of them at least, as we still wait for sales to begin, and tablets to ship. Ultimately, both the new iPad Air and the new Retina display iPad mini (which – sorry, Apple – I'm absolutely going to keep calling the iPad mini 2) will soon be in the hands of shoppers.     If the most recent rumors about Apple's launch plans for its new tablets are accurate, we should be seeing invitations going out today or tomorrow, with the actual launch event taking place a week from Tuesday.     Apple's new iPhone are upon us – well, nearly enough, anyway, and in just a handful of days, eager Apple fans will have their first shot at picking up an iPhone 5S or 5C (above) for themselves.
