The Incredible 2 by HTC is successor to Verizon's original Droid Incredible. It is one of the first devices running HTC's new version 2.1 of Sense UI. The Incredible 2 is packing a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor coupled with 768MB of RAM and 1.9GB of ROM. Its four-inch Super LCD display has a WVGA 480 x 800 resolution. On the back, the Incredible 2 is sporting an eight megapixel camera with LED flash and autofocus. What makes this smartphone unique is the ability for the bottom row of lit capacitive buttons to rotate according to the phone's orientation. US customers can check out HTC's Incredible S, the sequel to last year's Incredible, on T-Mobile, but you'll have to track the phone down yourself and pay the full, unlocked price. The handset will apparently undergo a small transformation before it sees US carrier subsidies, flipping that S on its axis, and arriving at Verizon under the name Droid Incredible 2. A certain Droid Incredible 2 -- with or without the "Droid" bit in it's name -- has surfaced on Verizon's system alongside the HTC Merge at the end of February indicating that there will be a follow-up to the successful HTC Droid Incredible. AndroidSPIN got some nice shots of a Verizon branded HTC Incredible S which will most likely be Verizon's HTC Incredible 2. Verizon's HTC Incredible 2 has been getting pretty leaky as of late, which is usually a good sign that a release is near (despite the fact that the phone is still unofficial at this point). The best indicator we have to a solid ship date is that purported roadmap which leaked late last month, and which pointed to April 28th for the initial rollout. The Incredible 2 is little more than a rebranded Incredible S, currently HTC's flagship handset until next week, when we're expecting a pair of dual-core phones in the Pyramid/Sensation and worldwide GSM version of the EVO 3D.
