Acer introduced its Iconia Tab A700 to the US in June and it was shipping with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out-of-the-box. Our experience with the tablet wasn't a smooth one but you can read all the details about that in our review. It looks like the manufacturer has started the global roll-out of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update as users from Europe as well as the US have reported its presence. We've heard of the Acer Iconia Tab A700 back at CES and then later on when Europe was preparing to welcome it to the market. Now Acer USA introduced the 10.1-inch slate with Full HD resolution screen. Aside from the 1920x1080 resolution screen, the tablet also features Dolby Mobile 3 with 5.1-channel home theater surround sound capabilities. It is powered by the Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core SoC and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. This year's CES saw Acer showing off its upcoming Iconia Tab A700 tablet, powered by nVidia's quad-core Tegra 3 SoC clocking at 1.3GHz, and sporting a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. According to reports, the tablet will go for 549 (around $725) in Europe for the 16GB variant and 749 (roughly $985) for the 64GB version. We've recently also heard that the Acer Iconia Tab A510 will be coming to Europe in April for 500 with specs more or less the same as the A700 above. If you have to have the A510 you can grab it in April or you could wait for the A710 ...
