It looks like some phone makers and/or carriers are really trying they're best to come up with "interesting" device names. We've been expecting the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze Q to launch yesterday, as a leaked document as well as a new press render implied, but that didn't happen (the Galaxy Note 10.1 would have probably stolen the show anyway). While the reason for not launching can be anyone's guess (or the rumors regarding August 15 were wrong in the first place), the name of the phone seems to have reportedly changed. For the past few months, we've been picking up pieces of news here and there about the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze Q. At first, we only knew the phone by model number SGH-T699. A little later on, the first photograph of the model was released, revealing the hardware to be a QWERTY slider. Eventually, we learned that the T699 would be released as the Galaxy S Blaze Q, and saw a leaked document that claimed the phone would launch on August 15. Yes, we know that names like Galaxy S Blaze 4G are interesting to say the least, but phone names nowadays are out of control. The Samsung SGH-T699, we caught wind of back in May, surfaced in some real-life pictures mid-June heading T-Mobile's way but now it appears that it will have a name attached (an out of control one). In its weirdness, the name seems logical. After the Galaxy S Blaze 4G, a Samsung phone with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard can easily be named Galaxy S Blaze Q.
