There has been no shortage of Samsung Galaxy Note III rumors, the phablet expected to be launched at the September 4, pre-IFA, special event in Berlin. Most recently we've heard that this year's giant phone will not have an optical stabilized camera, but today's rumors are looking at the same imaging component. Citing unnamed sources, the Korea Economic Daily claims that the Galaxy Note III will have a 4K camera, delivering Ultra High Definition video. The spec might look good on paper, but you will definitely not take advantage of such video on a Full HD resolution screen. Maybe Samsung ...

Now a new rumor out of South Korea says that Samsung is looking to continue to embrace stabilization going forward, and has been working on a stabilized 16-megapixel imaging system for its future smartphones. The date is set, the specs are all but confirmed, and we even heard chatter about color variants. The Samsung Galaxy Note III should see the light of day at the September 4, pre-IFA 2013 special event, in Berlin. According to recent reports from South Korea, the first four million units to be shipped will be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 processor, instead Samsung's own, octa-core (dual-quad-core) Exynos 5 CPU. Furthermore, from a total volume of 100%, the report claims that up to 70% of the units could be equipped with the Snapdragon 800 SoC, and only the rest will have the ...

Looking at some of the smartphone launches in recent history, as well as some of the rumored launches just around the corner, and we're definitely getting the impression of a trend towards more and more colorful options for these handsets. Obviously there's the Moto X leading the pack, and Apple's new iPhone 5C models should add some overdue splashes of color to the company's phones. Not everyone is quite so enthusiastic about giving users a lot of options, and the latest rumor to address the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note III suggests that the initial color selection could be seriously ...

Let's face it, when Samsung announced the original Galaxy Note at IFA 2011, we all thought they were nuts. At a time when the most popular smartphone in the world had a 3.5-inch display, who was going to want to use that humongous thing that was almost twice its size? Well, as it turned out, a lot of people did. Regardless of the fact that screens were getting bigger in those days, the device was a full inch bigger than the already-big Galaxy S II, and people liked it. I know that not many people are fond of Samsung, but we've got to hand it to them for their expertise in experimenting ...

If you thought the Palm commercials of 2009 were as weird as mobile tech advertising would ever get, HTC and Robert Downey Jr. have something to show you. That's the conversation that kicks off this week's edition of the Pocketnow Weekly podcast, and it's followed by some heartening news about this year's IFA in Berlin. If the rumors hold true, we should be in for some powerfully geeky, if unconventional, tech in Germany this year - and even if they don't, we've got plenty to talk about in the way of chipsets, Nexii, smartwatches, and phablets. If none of those terms make sense to you, ...

Overnight, we brought you a couple of the latest Samsung Galaxy Note III rumors, suggesting both that the phone would be one of the first to launch with Android 4.3, as well as that it might get a hefty 3450mAh battery. Now some new Note III rumors have hit our desk, though they don't quite align with all of that info. What we get is a limited spec breakdown between the Note III's SM-N900 and SM-N9005 variants – both model numbers we've associated with the phone. They claim that both handsets will indeed ship with Android 4.3, but that their batteries might see a more meager bump over ...

September 4 is the date when Samsung will be unveiling this year's Galaxy Note phablet, the Galaxy Note III. Android 4.3 is rumored to be on-board (as we've previously heard) and, while the information comes from a recent report, we'd be surprised if the Note III would ship with any other earlier version. On a related, this time, spec-note, the phablet is rumored to sport a 3,450mAh battery. The information is not confirmed but if accurate, the Note III will have a more than 10% larger battery rating than the Note II, at 3,100mAh. Whether the capacity-bump is needed for the extra specs ...

Samsung may not be the best company this year when it comes to updating any of their last-year smartphones with Android 4.2.2, and we're sure that many of you holding a Galaxy S III or a Galaxy Note II understand this level of frustration, but still, there's no denying that the company is doing a good job in launching each new smartphone with the latest version of Android. We've seen it with ever smartphone that they've launched since last year, and if they keep that trend, that should mean good news for the Galaxy Note III. Samsung's press event to launch their new iteration to the Galaxy ...

Back at the beginning of July, we caught wind of a rumor suggesting that Samsung's next phablet, the Galaxy Note III, would make its debut on September 4. Really, that was all sorts of not surprising, since we've been looking forward to the Android launching during this year's IFA in Berlin. Still, it was nice to have a precise date rather than the whole of the expo to anticipate the Note III. Then just a few days ago we heard that very same date mentioned again for the phablet's unveiling – while still nothing official, it was sounding more and more likely. Today we get all the ...
