Stuff comes up, folks. Sometimes you've got a pressing appointment in Romania, or a meeting scheduled in Media, PA. Sometimes you're at the day job, other times you're off the grid somewhere in the country. Other times you're buying a car. These things happen. Fortunately for us, these things don't usually happen all at once, which means the Pocketnow Weekly podcast usually features more than two people on the air. But today, listeners, Lady Luck was not with us. Today, Sam the Scheduler was out sick, because every member of the Pocketnow team was otherwise engaged when it came time to ...

We've been on-site for a full day in Barcelona, making preparations to cover one of the year's biggest mobile technology shows. Last night, we let you in on the fun and frustration of our pre-show planning on a special episode of the Pocketnow Weekly podcast. In the far-off reaches of Barcelona, two men fight for the right to party tell their tale. Battling narrow urban canyons, strange fast-food condiments, kielbasa-selling mobile-phone salesmen, and seagulls with voices only seagull mothers could love, they fight tooth and nail to share their story. Nagy and Michael Fisher since their arrival in Spain for the 2013 Mobile World Congress, but you'll definitely get a taste of what it's been like on the first harrowing day ...

Looks like both the recent Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 leak we've recently seen and out hunch that it was real were spot on. This latest set of pictures depicting the upcoming device in real-life seem to be a perfect match with what we've seen leaked previously. Today's leak comes from Italy and completely strips the Galaxy Note 8.0 of its secrets. Both the front of the device (above) and the back (below) are exactly like in the previous leak. This means that the rounded corners of the Nexus 10 are meeting the Galaxy S III/Galaxy Note II design principles. There is of course a very thin chance ...

Life frequently defies our expectations. For example, if it's your first full season covering mobile-technology trade shows, sometimes you find your expectations for a nice, quiet lull between CES and MWC completely upset -toppled, really- by reality. For this editor, that reality came fast and fierce, delivering an unbelievable bounty of rumor and speculation at his doorstep on the morning of this week's Pocketnow Weekly podcast. The bright side: you get to hear all the latest news and gossip surrounding Galaxy S IV and Note 8.0 speculation; HTC's Droid DNA upgrade with a very James ...

We end today's ...

After Samsung basically confirmed the Galaxy Note 8.0's presence at MWC we were trying -- and we managed -- to find reason why such a device is something you should get excited about. Word is we should expect a 1280 x 800 resolution screen on this units with a five-megapixel main camera and a 1.3-megapixel webcam. The image above claims to depict the upcoming Galaxy Note 8.0. Of course, you should by now have your grain of salt handy. However, if this will indeed be the next Note to be unveiled in Barcelona, we can expect a combination between the Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note II, and Nexus ...
