Of all of Samsung's upcoming Android tablets, the Galaxy Note 10.1, with the same S Pen stylus technology of the original 5.3-inch Note, is arguably the most intriguing. The manufacturer announced the tablet back at the Mobile World Congress, and had plenty of hardware specs to share. What we heard made the Note 10.1 out to be a bit of a mid-range tablet, with a dual-core 1.4GHz Exynos and a 1280 x 800 resolution that seemed just a smidge low for a 10.1-inch device. It's looking more and more likely, though, that Samsung is giving the Note 10.1 a pre-release makeover, and possibly turning ...

When Samsung first announced the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet back at the Mobile World Congress, we were excited to see the company's S Pen from the Note making its way to more of its products. After all, as useful as a stylus is on a 5.3-inch screen, it's just going to excel that much more when paired with a full-sized tablet. As nice as it was to see that, the rest of the Note 10.1 was a slight letdown, if only for how very similar the hardware specs seemed in comparison to the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. A new rumor out of Korea now suggests Samsung may be working to differentiate these models a ...

Those who are Apple fans, or simply follow the tech industry, need no introduction when it comes to John Sculley, Apple's former CEO who decided to come on-board as CEO and help the late Steve Jobs "change the world" instead of selling "sugar water" for the rest of his life while at PepsiCo. In an interview with The Economic Times, the ex-CEO, now 73, said that "Apple has an extraordinary executive team" and he sees "many good years ahead" for the Cupertino-based company. With regards to the tablet market, Sculley, an iPad user himself, said that "the only serious tablet competitor in ...

What you see in the image above is the window of Phone4U's Oxford Street branch in the U.K. and, as you very well see, the retailer is advertising something Samsung for March 30. What could that might be? Of course your immediate thought should be Galaxy S III but with so many rumors, claims, reports and leaks it is difficult to make something out of it. For the moment we'll let you speculate on this to your heart's content, just don't forget that there are a couple of new devices, like the Samsung Galaxy Beam and the Galaxy Note 10.1 which we've met at this year's MWC. What do you think? ...

In a post on their Facebook page Samsung was "thrilled" to announce Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for several of their devices. The post not only told us the European version of the Galaxy S II would be getting the update within the following days, but several of their tablets would also be getting the update to ICS. The post specifically mentions the Galaxy Note, Galaxy Tab 8.9, and Galaxy Tab 10.1, which will be getting ICS "soon". While that's great news, what's interesting is that there was no mention about when (if?) the Galaxy Tab 7.7 would be getting Android 4.0. Source: Samsung

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is the South Korean company's latest tablet which we've met in person with the occasion of this year's MWC. It sports a dual-core 1.4GHz processor, a 1280 x 800 10.1-inch screen, a three-megapixel main camera and two-megapixel front-facer, in addition to the Samsung-specific S-Pen for handwriting and note-taking input. After yesterday's iPad event, where Apple announced the iPad 2 follow-up, Samsung is putting the two tablets side-by-side, letting you know, several times, that the iPad doesn't have a Pen. Whether the comparison below is fair or not is up to you ...

Yes, the Samsung Galaxy Note from last year just got a new relative but instead of being a phone-tablet hybrid, this time it's a tablet all the way. If you think it resemles the Galaxy Tab 10.1 too much (or, to be more specific, the Galaxy Tab 10.1N in Germany, with the rellocated speakers in order to avoid Apple litigation), that's because it does. The Galaxy Note 10.1 packs the same S-Pen (stylus) the Galaxy Note ships with and a suite of S-Pen-enabled applications for easy note taking while you are on the go. That aside, specs include a dual-core 1.4GHz processor, a 1280 x 800 10.1-inch ...

Samsung brought the stylus back to smartphones with the Galaxy Note and its S Pen, and the company's been so pleased with its reception that we've heard it discuss plans to adopt the same input technology for more of its products, especially tablets. Since the S Pen uses a Wacom digitizer, rather than acting as a generic capacitive stylus, adding support for it needs to be done while a device is still in hardware development. As a result, it seemed like there might be a short delay before we started seeing the S Pen on other Samsung gear. Instead, there's now a sign that just such a device ...

When Samsung sent out invitations to its MWC event earlier this month, it mentioned a then-unknown device, the Galaxy Note 10.1. At the time, we weren't quite sure what to make of that, short of that it sounded like Samsung might be using this model as an opportunity to introduce the Galaxy Note's S Pen to its tablet lineup. Sure enough, this morning Samsung formally revealed the Ice Cream Sandwich tablet, complete with an S Pen stylus. Aside from the S Pen, there's not much to distinguish the Note 10.1 from Galaxy Tab devices. It runs a dual-core 1.4GHz processor, has a 1280x800 10.1-inch ...
