The Android 4.2.2 roll-out process has started this week and users of the LG-made Google Nexus 4, Asus-made Nexus 7, Samsung-made Nexus 10 and Galaxy Nexus are receiving their OTA notifications as we speak (or are already enjoying the point update on their devices). We know that the first original smartphone models running the new Ubuntu mobile OS will be coming out this October, and back at the CES we got to check out the software running on a Galaxy Nexus, with the promise that a developer preview of that version would be available sometime this month.
