Last month, Samsung brought us its updated Galaxy S5 LTE-A edition, fulfilling those long-standing rumors of a Galaxy S5 equipped with a quad HD display (among other improvements). Even with this model constrained to sales in South Korea, we've taken the time to get our hands on one, giving you a close-up look at the changes. But is this model's release the conclusion of those quad HD Galaxy rumors? What about that chatter of a Samsung smartphone that was supposed to be a premium device from top to bottom, not only going with a 2K display but also a body made of metal – or at least with ...

The Samsung Galaxy F leaked today, in what is claimed to be a real-life picture of the upcoming device. We've heard a lot of rumors and seen a lot of leaks recently regarding the device, but most of them were in the form of leaked press renders. The image above is claimed to be representing the Galaxy F, and you can immediately notice the metal frame around the screen. If you think it resembles the chamfered edges on the iPhone 5/5s, or the HTC One/One M8, you're not wrong. However, the interesting bit comes in the report that accompanies the image. Apparently, according to unnamed sources ...

Samsung's phone situation is getting a bit confusing. Hot off the launch of the meaty Galaxy S5 LTE-A, and with rumors of the equally-powerful Galaxy Note 4 in the air, we're continuing to hear about a Galaxy F, reportedly to be the killer of the Galaxy S line of phones. Now we have yet another Samsung Galaxy F image, so let's take a look. This render just shows us more of the same. It comes from the same source as the last render (and the one before that), though, so that's to be expected. This one's of the same Glowing Gold hue, and we've got to admit, it does kind of glow. The device is ...

The Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A recently launched as a spec-bumped Galaxy S5, but availability will more than likely be limited to countries outside of the United States. That may be of no worry to US consumers though, as leaks of a Galaxy F (previously referred to as the Galaxy S5 Prime) have been flowing in at a ridiculous pace. Today we're talking a look at the alleged F in the "Glowing Gold" color -- and yes, this color is different than the "perfect golden" hue previously seen. The phone looks the exact same as the previous render, though with a slightly different color as expected. ...

Samsung surprised us last night when it dropped an announcement for the long-rumored Galaxy S5 update with a quad HD 2560 x 1440 display and Snapdragon 805 SoC. Well, great, this sounds like the phone we've been talking about as the Galaxy F or GS5 Prime – maybe not the metal body so much, but the specs are a dead ringer for our expectations. So can we hope to see this model expand from initial availability in South Korea to also hit some other markets in Asia and Europe, just like the GS4 LTE-A edition did? Maybe even a little interest in the Americas? Don't count on it, but that ...

We've heard it an innumerable amount of times by now -- an upgraded Galaxy S5 is coming. Whether it may be the Galaxy F, the Galaxy S5 Prime, or the Galaxy S5 LTE-A is still up in the air, but it's certainly looking like the third one will be made public shortly. New reports from multiple South Korea-based outlets suggest that Samsung is preparing the device for launch. The Korea Times states that South Korea's major carriers are preparing to roll out an updated LTE-A network supporting theoretical downlink speeds of up to 225 Mbps, as opposed to last year's 150 Mbps. Samsung will ...

The last time we've seen this phone was with the occasion of a recent Samsung Galaxy F leak that placed the allegedly metallic phone next to the current Galaxy S 5 flagship. Since we only saw the front of it, we could only guess that it was a black/grey version, pretty much like the one in this leak. However, there was also a white Samsung Galaxy F leak in form of a press render, and now we're seeing another color. Gold, or champagne, call it as you wish. There's really not much info here, and there are few things we can comment upon. The back seems to be brushed metal, or a very good faux ...

The Samsung Galaxy F -- previously named (tentatively) Galaxy S5 Prime -- has recently paid the FCC a visit, and was subject to speculation in terms of the processor that will be at its core. A recently leaked image places the metallic Galaxy F next to the current Samsung flagship, the Galaxy S5. Before we dive into analyzing the stills, we'll tell you to keep a small dose of skepticism, as the veracity of these images can't be verified for now. That being said, the first thing that strikes us is the reduced bezels surrounding the screen. We can't judge from these images whether the bezels ...

We're on a bit of a Samsung roll this morning, and before we turn our attentions elsewhere, there's one more report we've run across that seems worth bringing your way. Lately we've spent a lot of time talking about the Galaxy S5 Prime/Galaxy F/SM-G906/KQ/Lentis – all those different names alone (assuming they really all even represent the same device) are enough to make your head spin. With the timetable we're likely looking at, this phone could arrive right around the same time as the next-gen Note model. Today we take a closer look at both devices, as well as what new Exynos chips ...

Whether Samsung ends up calling its quad HD handset the Galaxy F or the Galaxy S5 Prime is still up in the air (and you may have noticed us going back and forth on the naming, with no clear front-runner having yet emerged) but what no one seems to be doubting anymore is that it's coming, one way or another. We've had a couple opportunities recently to share with you possible images of the hardware, but this afternoon we put the pics to the side and start digging through some paperwork, checking out the FCC certification for the phone. We're looking at Samsung models SM-G906S, G906K, and ...

A couple days back we got to take a look at some new imagery that attempted to reveal Samsung's work on a Galaxy S5 refresh of sorts, the metal-bodied Samsung Galaxy F. Call it the Galaxy S5 Prime or whatever you will, but the phone has been shaping-up to be a solid addition to the existing Galaxy lineup, bolstered by the addition of a quad HD display and the possibility of an SoC upgrade. The same source from before is back with an additional image, snapping a pic of the phone in some slightly better lighting conditions. Indeed, the phone's rear cover is much better illuminated this time ...

Rumors of a Samsung Galaxy F (or the S5 Prime, as we used to call it) are picking up once again. Alleged Galaxy F images show us a phone similar to the Galaxy S5, but with a metal body as opposed to the S5's perforated plastic. The images themselves are very similar to a leaked render of the device we saw a few days back -- the same metal back casing is employed, and the front is similar. An image of the boot screen reveals the purported name, "Samsung Galaxy F," which we last learned of as a possible replacement to Samsung's premium Galaxy S line. Expected specifications for this Galaxy F ...

Despite being shot down multiple times already, rumors of a Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime, or a Galaxy F, are still flying. We recently saw two more leaks, both from the same source, adding on to the fire -- we now have an alleged render, some possible specs, and even more. The first image -- available at the first source link below -- is a shot (blurry, of course) of the front of the alleged device. It looks similar to the Galaxy S5, and that's all we really have to see about it. The interesting part of this leak, which @evleaks notes is an "UNCONFIRMED, UNVERIFIED, UNSUBSTANTIATED" tip sent ...

The Galaxy S5 has debuted without a rumored quad HD, 2K, 1440p display option, but rumors that Samsung has been working on a handset with such a screen are sticking around, nonetheless. While there's been a lot of talk, we haven't had much in the way of evidence to support such claims, but we may be able to start doing something about that now, with a couple pics leaking of what claim to be just such a 2K Samsung smartphone. We've clearly got a Samsung prototype here; the company using bulky cases to obscure a phone's design like this is nothing new. But just which phone might this be? As ...

For much of the time we were fielding rumors leading up to the launch of the Galaxy S5, we heard talk about Samsung's supposed plan to deliver two versions of the phone: one, a “regular” edition with a 1080p display (so ultimately, the GS5 we got), and another more “premium” model, with an even higher-res quad HD panel and possible metal construction. When that premium GS5 failed to surface, some of us started wondering if its launch still might be happening a little later on – much like it took Samsung a few months last year to follow the GS4 up with those Active, Zoom, and ...

Ever since we heard the first mentions of a future possible F-series from Samsung, there have been a lot of rumors regarding this alleged "premium" series of phones from South Korea. The chatter became even hotter after the Galaxy S 5 announcement, where some of the fans (and not only) were disappointed by the general aspect, build, and features of the phone -- advocating for the existence of plans for another flagship launch this year. High-end specs and materials are expected to on the first "F"-phone, and designer Ivo Marić has put together these concept Samsung Galaxy F render stills ...

With the new year upon us, it's only a matter of time before the first 2014 flagships start trickling out of the woodwork. It's no controversial statement to suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S 5 is among the most anticipated of these phones, and we've been going through rumors of the handset's design and launch plans for months now. By this point, even if it doesn't quite feel like it yet, we're starting to get on top things, and those rumors are less about wild speculation, months and months away, and more about very specific time windows that are just a few weeks out. Today, we're talking ...

For years now, Samsung's Galaxy S series has been its flagship destination for smartphones, and more recently, we've seen the Galaxy Note line emerge to complement it with phablet-sized models. Now a new rumor suggest that Samsung is interested in branching out with another lineup of high-end models, arriving as its Galaxy F family. Supposedly, Samsung would launch its first Galaxy F models early next year, possibly in March, where they'd feature not only high-end specs, but premium materials as well. We've heard more than once that Samsung might finally be getting serious about working to ...
