Family plans — the bane of offsprings' existence. Usually, it comes to those children who nudge their mother or father to have to move plans or just break away from an agreement to go their own way, especially when there's a promo going on. Well, check Verizon out and see if your family's willing to make the switch: it's offering a four line plan with 16GB of shared data for $150 per month. The actual mechanics of the deal is that if you enroll on an 8GB or better Verizon Plan with up to 10 lines, you'll get an extra 2GB per line per month for your account to use. The "L" plan has a $70 ...

Spotify has never made money, but it has to in order to survive. And the service will be under more pressure to make more money from its free users if Apple's proposed new flat-rate royalties model takes effect. So, the Swedish company has launched programmatic buying that lets advertisers target their 15-second or 30-second clips to over 70 million users by age, gender, — here's where it gets rich — genres and even playlists. Yes, Spotify's selling you out based on your music preferences. And every vendor has access to that data. Does the line get drawn there? Are you keeping private ...

Gripes have taken over Forumsville, Internetland once again, but it's not all for poor server management and broken promises of pizza. It all stems from a thread on the /r/TMobile subreddit talking about CEO John Legere's quick Twitter teaser on something new for the Un-carrier's customers. What did u do today? I just got done filming an announcement that you'll see (very) soon!! #staytuned pic.twitter.com/XcE1SlSLkz — John Legere (@JohnLegere) July 21, 2016 Popular comments kicked off with cynicism for how great the T-Mobile Tuesdays perks have been recently. Just because you're saving money as best you can doesn't mean you don't deserve some extra help in doing so. If you and someone else are on an AT&T's prepaid GoPhone plan or you're thinking of getting on one, heed this bit of news before GoPhoning for it. Sorry. Anyways, you can get two smartphones for the price of one starting Friday, July 22, so long as they're valued above $59.99. Both phones have to be on a $45 or $60 monthly plan. Also, be prepared to talk it out with a customer service rep: you must redeem the offer at an AT&T or Authorized Retail store. You can learn more ...

The base rate for an unlimited data plan on T-Mobile is $95 per month. On Sprint, it's $75. Spread that difference over two years and you've got enough money for another good phone if you wanted it. The Now Network feels it's important to point that out in this micro-age of Pokémon GO madness, even as the Un-carrier is offering unlimited high-speed data to all of its customers for a year while on the app. "Unlike some of the other carriers, Sprint offers unlimited data at a fair price so you don't have to worry about using data while Playing Pokémon Go," Sprint stated in a press ...

If you're a Pokémon GO fan, here's a T-Mobile Tuesdays offer you'll wish that the Un-carrier won't screw up. On July 19, T-Mobile will use its customer appreciation program serve up new perks revolving around your travels related to the Pokémon GO game. First and foremost of the perks is unlimited high-speed data for Pokémon GO use — that means that even if you dump the game next week, you can pick it back up in October and not have to worry about using up your data bucket. In fact, the offer lasts through the end of next August as long as you claim it on any given Tuesday through ...

Sprint was the first to be out and about with a monthly version of Amazon Prime before Amazon itself put it out there. The option for it to be billed on top of your other monthly service fees made it convenient in its own way. And if you really doubt that, why not sign up this month and take a free spin at it, huh? The $10.99 monthly charge will be waived for the first 60 days of your use and you can feel free to cancel at anytime. And sure, there's the whole argument to be made about a slightly cheaper lump sum versus a more convenient and digestible financing option, but as consumers who ...

After taking the Moto X Pure Edition to the unlocked market last year, Motorola has decided to open up the fourth-generation Moto G to not just the United States' GSM networks, but to its CDMA ones, too. The Moto G⁴ and Moto G⁴ Plus are both up for pre-orders right now at the Motorola site. Both phones can be customized in Moto Maker and financed through Motorola. As a refresher, the Moto G⁴ has a 5.5-inch, full HD screen in front of a Snapdragon 617 with 2GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel main camera. This one's starting at $199.99 for 16GB of storage. $249.99 for the Moto G⁴ Plus ...

It's midday on another Tuesday which means another T-Mobile Tuesdays event going to the dogs. Specifically, the dogs at the T-Mobile servers. Users are taking to Twitter to tweet tempestuously about how for the fourth week in the #GetThanked campaign they weren't able to access their stash of free perks. Some users were told by the app to come back on Tuesday, even though today is a Tuesday. I sure wish this T-Mobile Tuesdays app was working, @TMobile getting a bit ridiculous that every Tuesday I can't access my rewards. — David V (@The0DD1) June 28, 2016 Is T-Mobile Tuesdays a joke that ...

Have you got travel plans to Europe this summer? Want to stay connected? Do you fear of the consequences that may take place after the Brexit vote? T-Mobile's helping to allay most of these anxieties by amping up its Simple Global program in Europe. Sure, you have free data in over 140 territories around the world (including Belize now), but 2G speeds can get pretty impractical. The Un-carrier is letting those speeds rise up to 4G standards from July 1 to August 31 in the 58 countries it serves in Europe. That's for free, along with SMS. Calls are still 20¢ a minute. You can tell that ...

If Best Buy can pull of an iPhone-Apple Watch bundle like it has, then maybe Motorola can work its magic with one of its periodic savings blast. In fact, this deal is essentially the same deal as this one, right there, from earlier this very month — but without the need for promo codes and all that jazz. The Moto 360 Sport can be yours for free with the purchase of a Moto X Pure Edition. Well, you'll need to bump up the storage to 64GB, but even then, we're talking about what the Moto X was originally priced at when it was released — $399.99. You have up through June 28 at noon Eastern ...

Is it still worth even thinking about buying the Lumia 950 or the Lumia 950 XL at this point? Or might you be interested in a Surface Phone? Whatever the case, Microsoft's still re-offering this deal to the US and Canada anyway, so you might as well take heed and think about it. If you decide to get a Microsoft Lumia 950 XL from the Microsoft Store for $649 (or $849 up north), you'll get a black Lumia 950 for free. Both devices are unlocked and set for your local GSM networks. The deal is good until June 27 or next Monday. To maximize the savings, you can get a free year of Office 365 ...

It's been three Tuesdays and not one of them has passed by for the Un-carrier without some sort of brouhaha. "No pizza for you, next!" After another T-Mobile Tuesdays struggle with Domino's Pizza locations giving up the ghost on the free pizza offer, the carrier's CEO, John Legere, took to both Twitter and Periscope to explain that pure volume has led to the freebie breakdown. So, in place of a pie, you'll get a free ride. This week's special perk of a free $15 trip from Lyft will now be extended to next week. In addition, you can get a $20 credit at MLB.com, a small Frosty from Wendy's and a VUDU movie rental, all for free. 2/ Time to change it up! The second T-Mobile Tuesday, just like the first one, was rocked with another controversy over who got pizza and who did not. Customers who went into the T-Mobile Tuesdays app yesterday did get a promo code for a free medium two-topping pizza, but when they attempted to ordered carryout from a local Domino's Pizza location, they were told on the mobile app that the offer may "be unavailable at your local store." Online, the story was clearer — the location had taken in all it the redemptions was allowed to on the deal. While it's understandable that tight bottom lines at franchisee ...

As previously teased, T-Mobile prepaid brand MetroPCS is preparing to sell the LG Stylo 2 Plus, a brand name that changes about every time we get to mention it. It sounds like a slightly more decent mid-range phone to carry a little writing stick with in 2016, — though it will be carrying a 13-megapixel main camera and not a 16-megapixel one like foreign variants — but as the late Billy Mays would say, "WAIT! THERE'S MORE!" MetroPCS has officially opened up pre-registration for the phone up through June 26. If you do pre-register and then buy a LG Stylo 2 Plus on or before July 31 and ...

Lenovo and Google seem to be showing off the fact that they're pretty tight partners these days. The PHAB2 Pro is doing the Tango, the Moto Z supposedly shines strong as another prime line of Android phones and a new evolution of Chromebooks is on the way. Apparently, the two are friendly enough to share pictures together. We had an early look at a feature in a recent Google Photos APK that allowed Nexus owners to back their pictures and movies up to the service at original quality for free. Now, both product pages for the Moto Z Droid Edition and Moto Z Force Droid Edition are touting the ...

AT&T and its subsidiary, DirecTV, have a unique synergy in that they both provide services that, for the most part, bypass wires — because who gets free over-the-air transmissions anymore? So, if you get a satellite TV package in addition to your cellphone service in the Rocky Mountain, Northern Plains or Mid-Atlantic regions, you'll be able to get a free iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus. You'll also get half-off the price of up to five more such devices. Here's the major catch: the discount comes in the form of bill credits over 30 months on the AT&T Next plan and the amount is only ...

T-Mobile has spent all morning responding to frustrated customers who want to #GetThanked, but can't because everyone else wants to #GetThanked at the same time. Traffic has overwhelmed T-Mobile Tuesdays' servers from the Android and iOS app to the t-mobiletuesdays.com website. It turns out that plenty of people definitely appreciate some free pizza, free ice cream, a free movie (or two) and, quite possibly, even more. Who would've thought? The company has repeatedly reassured each and (possibly) every fan on Twitter that it is working on the issue. We're experiencing unbelievable ...

You may have a new, bigger screen that you might take advantage of to enjoy original content from YouTube Red soon. We've been picking up reports that subscribers have been clicking into emails offering up a free Chromecast to redeem. There's some irony in that while a YouTube Red subscription tacks on access to the Google Play Music library as a bonus, a Google Play Music subscription that has YouTube Red as a bonus hasn't gotten a free Chromecast. All of this has been anecdotal, by the way. Maybe we'll see a similar deal with Chromecast Audio come up soon. After all, Chromecast ...

The roll-out of the Un-carrier X promotion didn't go as smooth as John Legere first thought. The T-Mobile CEO had to do a little fighting against the tide, but it seems that Binge On has settled into calmer waters for now. So, for Un-carrier 11, it figures that VentureBeat's Evan Blass is reporting that Big Magenta is sticking firmly to uncontroversial territory (at least to the consumer). According to Blass's source, on June 6, we should expect to see a new app called "T-Mobile Tuesdays" with a #GetThanked hashtag campaign. Users will have access to weekly freebies from Domino's Pizza, ...

Free data! Who wouldn't love it at a carrier that only sells limited data packages? Who wouldn't love it at a carrier that tacks fees and hikes prices left and right? Who wouldn't love it, period? Well, the jury's still out on the whole zero-rated thing, but it's not like this is a foreign venture for the ol' checkmark. The carrier's offering 2GB of free data, valid for use through two billing cycles if you use Android Pay. You get one gigabyte with your first tap and the second on your third tap. Pretty simple, right? The promo period runs through June 14 with the free data to be used up ...

"Sorry" sometimes just isn't enough. Australian carrier Telstra seems to know that. So when a network outage event took hold last Tuesday, the network decided it would aggressively recover customer satisfaction and give its engineers overtime with a "Free Mobile Data Sunday." Every subscriber — even those without data credits — got in on the action. Telstra reported 1,841 TB of total traffic, double a usual day's movements. One user took to Reddit to brag about his 421GB take, nearly 72 times his monthly allotment of 6GB. That's about 25 seasons of the program "How It's Made," some ...

Apple is rolling in the dough and it wants to show that's willing to make a small investment to roll in more dough. After all, it has investors to impress. In the US at least, if you're shopping on the Apple Store site or hope to order for in-store pickup in the Saint Nick of time, you're in luck. Apple is offering free next day delivery if you have you've checked out by 2pm on December 23. FREE!
