We're just a few hours away from what we assume to be Apple's last event of the year. So far, we've seen new updates to iOS at WWDC 2014, and we've also seen the new iPhone 6 / iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch being announced at Apple's event last month. If you're asking yourself what's missing from the puzzle this year, well, actually a lot. We have yet to see new iPads being announced, in addition to certain changes we expect for OS X Yosemite that will benefit iOS users in the Apple ecosystem as well. We could even throw in some Apple TV and iPod updates here as well, but those are a rough ...

Updated with links to the high-quality, edited version of the podcast. We hope you enjoyed; see you next week! We stayed up all night waiting for an iPhone that (almost) never came. A few days before that, we opined mightily about the smartwatch that's slated to accompany it come early next year – and a day or two before that, we took a quick look at the latest iPhone and Apple Watch competition from the Motorola camp, with the Moto X, Moto G, and Moto 360. It's smartwatch and smartphone soup over here at Pocketnow and, generous guys that we are, we want to share the experience with ...

Apple's WWDC is probably one of the company's most important events. We already know that the event will bring us Apple's new mobile operating system, iOS 8, and we also know that a new version of OS X is in the works, which might also bring some mobile functionality to compete with Windows 8.1. We also know that there will be hardware at this event, but it's hard to predict if these will be iterative updates, or hot new stuff. We assume this should be the show floor for the iWatch, since iOS 8's main feature, HealthBook is pointless without a wearable to track you. Apple has been kind ...

It's finally that time of year for the city of Berlin to take over the world of Mobile Technology through their yearly IFA event. In the past, it was just another event where we had no clear expectations, but in the last two years, it's been about Samsung, and more specifically about their new iterations of the Galaxy Note smartphones. The Samsung Unpacked event happens tomorrow at 1PM Eastern, and aside from all the hands-on coverage that both Michael and Anton will get us from the show floor, we'll also cover the event live through our usual Editorial Roundtable. We still don't have ...

In the world of mobile technology, you'll find controlled leaks, uncontrolled leaks, and around five steps ahead of each, you'll find the LG G2. This got so out of hand in recent times that LG was simply forced to admit that there was an LG G2 in the works, and that they'd put all the rumors to rest in an event, which happens tomorrow. Now, this phone is bigger than what we'll see at the event. Last year, the Optimus G1 was the basis for the Google Nexus 4 that we all love, and if the reports are true, the future Nexus smartphone will be based on this G2 as well. Join us for the LG G2 ...

It's hard to remember a time when we've seen a phone leaked so much, and for so long, in order to create the amount of anticipation that exists behind the Moto X. Some of us are even worried that the device will not live-up to the amount of hype that's been created in the media over the last couple of months, and we won't deny that some of us even believed this phone would never see the light of day. Still, the waiting days are finally over. Google's Moto X event happens tomorrow, and in a very peculiar fashion. Our own Michael Fisher will be in New York City for our usual round of ...

Google I/O is still underway, and even though there is still more to be seen at the event, we could say that everything we were waiting to know about Android has already been said. There's a lot that we saw that we liked, a lot that to be honest with you, we're still waiting to see if they reveal as a "one more thing", and a lot that did surprise us about Google's new approach to their yearly developer conference. We haven't seen any Key Lime Pie, we haven't seen any Android 4.3 either, and it all points to a very stale Google I/O all around. Still, not everything is lost as we finally see ...
