Remember back when Verizon announced its lineup of upcoming 4G LTE phones and Samsung didn't have a name for its contribution? We had already seen a picture of the Samsung i520 apparently connected over LTE, so that seemed like the prime candidate. Later we heard a rumor that the previously-unnamed Samsung 4G LTE phone would be the Stealth. The Stealth was already on our radar thanks to a DLNA certification, identifying it as the i510. Confused yet? Now the i510 is back in the news, as we've found documentation, just published today, showing the phone's journey through the FCC and ...

You might remember the Samsung Stealth, Verizon's first 4G LTE smartphone, from the days of CES, and then later, as it passed FCC on-route to Big Red. There were also some recent sightings of the device with pictures of it but we managed to meet the Stealth in person at a recent show. The device sports a 1GHz processor, eight-megapixel camera on the back with LED flash, 1.3-megapixel camera on the front, acting as a webcam, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display -- the same as the one on the Samsung Galaxy S II -- 4G LTE capable radio and it is running Google Android 2.2 Froyo with the ...

The screenshot confirms some of the specifications we received earlier, like the 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen and a 1GHz processor, now identified as a Hummingbird. Just as ...

Yesterday we caught a glimpse of Samsung's planned Verizon LTE smartphone in Costco's computer systems, going by a slight variation of the Stealth name we've been hearing for some time. Even with the phone's planned release just over two weeks away, we got word that Stealth was still only the phone's internal code name, and that it would be getting a proper moniker before Verizon started promoting it. Today there's finally something in the way of confirmation that the name is indeed changing, and it looks like Verizon has decided on the Samsung Droid Charge. Droid Life suggested the Charge ...

Ever since we saw a screenshot of a purported Verizon computer, we were pretty sure that Samsung's 4G LTE smartphone would be joining the Droid lineup as the Samsung Droid Charge. Now, with this product photo showing off a restyled Droid "red eye," that branding is all but confirmed. It's somewhat interesting that the eye is being used to market a non-Motorola device, as we'd previously only seen it on that manufacturer's handsets -- neither the Droid Incredible nor the Droid Eris from HTC were publicized with the eye. Introduced without a brand name at CES alongside the Thunderbolt, ...
