The Motorola Droid Bionic has a story of its own and recently, after being re-affirmed for a summer release, it has passed by FCC with its LTE radio en-route to Verizon.
If there’s any truth in the screenshot above, Verizon is planning to launch the Motorola Droid Bionic on August 4. Taken into consideration that the phone was shown-off at this year’s CES, after seven months, it will be finally launched, in its redesigned state. While there’s nothing certain about the dates mentioned above, it definitely is a good indication of things to come (aside from [...]
There are pretty strong indications that Verizon and Motorola will announce the Droid 3 soon as the smartphone is expected to hit stores in July 14 after an initial July 7 direct fulfillment availability.
Besides the leaked Verizon document to come as an indirect confirmation the carrier has put up a 360 degree look at the Droid 3 which has been leaked. Droid-life managed to save a couple of angle shots of the smartphone so you can hit up the source link to check it out. Fingers crossed for an announcement soon! You should expect a dual-core 1GHz processor, eight-megapixel [...]
The Motorola Droid 3, already launched in China as the Milestone 3, is being prepared for a July 7 direct-fill and a July 14 store availability with the user manual already being leaked out on the internet. According to recently leaked Verizon documents, the smartphone is still on track for the above mentioned dates.
The screenshot above reiterates those dates so we think it’s safe to assume that we’ll see the Droid 3 this week. According to another Verizon leak, the smartphone sports a 1GHz TI-OMAP dual-core processor, eight-megapixel camera with LED flash and 1080p [...]
The Verizon Motorola Droid 3, already launched in some regions as the Milestone 3, will allegedly see its U.S. launch on July 7 with a July 14 store availability.
If you can’t wait for the unboxing experience in order to grab the user manual or just want to learn before purchasing so that you master everything by the time your Droid 3 arrives, you can download the manual and get started. 70 pages of information you might already be familiar with if you are an Android user but it’s always good to take a peek just in case.
Lately, we’ve been juggling two potential dates for the release of Motorola’s Droid 3 on Verizon. First we heard July 7 would see the smartphone’s launch, but later info pointed to retail sales not beginning until around July 14. As fate would have it, it looks like both dates are sort of right, at least according to a newly-leaked document.
According to this new information, the phone will initially be available via direct-fill on July 7; this is where you might place an order in a Verizon store, but the smartphone is shipped directly to you, rather than being [...]
The Motorola Droid 3, the one “responsible” for the Motorola Droid 2 Global Gingerbread delay, got its specs leaked and rumored for some time now but thanks to an official Verizon leak we now get a carrier confirmation.
Putting the Droid 3 side-by-side with the Droid 2 Global and Droid X2, the above leak speaks of a dual-core 1GHz processor (TI-OMAP for that matter), eight-megapixel camera with LED flash and 1080p video recording, front-facer, 16GB of internal storage, world phone capability with overseas GSM support as well as Android 2.3 Gingerbread on-board. [...]
Last week, we got out first look at one of the many accessories that will soon be available for Motorola’s Droid 3, hopefully signaling that the smartphone’s release is soon-approaching. At first we heard that the handset may land at Verizon on July 7, only later to see a Best Buy screenshot indicating that its stores aren’t expecting the Droid 3 until the following week. It’s coming, all right, but we can’t just yet say when. In the meantime, that lone case we looked at earlier is now among friends, thanks to the release of a new leaked screenshot showing [...]
Motorola’s Droid 3 looks like it will be a pretty decent upgrade to the Droid 2. Building off the familiar Droid form factor, you’ll find the Droid 3 has a larger, higher-resolution screen, as well as a modern dual-core processor. Despite all the anticipation, Verizon’s hasn’t yet outed the Droid 3 and provided us with a scheduled release date. Some new information helps us narrow down when to expect it, but it’s not quite a slam-dunk.
A leaked screenshot of Best Buy’s computer system shows the Droid 3 anticipated for arrival on July 13. [...]
Where there’s smoke, there’s fire (or a laser light show, at least), and where there are accessories for eagerly-anticipated smartphones, chances are those phones aren’t too far off. There’s been a lot of Motorola Droid 3 information arriving lately, though Verizon has yet to publicize a release date for the model. While the smartphone waits patiently in the wings, its accessories have now started to appear online.
Accessory supplier Qmadix has a snap-on rubberized case for the Droid 3 posted up on its site. The page currently shows the case as [...]
The Motorola Droid 3 initially appeared on NenaMark scoring a rough score of 45 and the smartphone that has been recently launched in China as the Milestone 3 — hopefully coming to the US on July 7 — has popped with GLBenchmark 2.0 results.
The combination of the Texas Instruments OMAP 4430 processor and PowerVR SGX 540 GPU helped the Droid 3 score 26.7 in the Egypt benchmark test placing second after the LG Optimus 3D. While numbers don’t necessarily mean excellent real-life performance they’re a good indication of things to come. The Motorola Droid 3 [...]
Motorola has just recently launched the Milestone 3 smartphone — aka the Motorola Droid 3 — in China and we’re looking forward to seeing the Droid refresh hit the U.S. market on July 7 according to rumors unconfirmed though.
While it is by no means a confirmation in any way of a launch date, it gives us a solid hint that the launch is ready. The Motorola Droid 3 has just earned its MAP status (minimum advertised price) over at Verizon, according to the screenshot above acquired by Droid-life. If rumors and indications turn out to be true, Big Red will have the [...]
Motorola has announced the Droid 3 for China and, as the manufacturer did in the past with the Droid smartphones, naming them Milestone outside of the U.S., the Droid 3 will hit China as the XT883 aka Milestone 3.
The smartphone, as previous hardware spec leaks implied, sports a dual-core processor, four-inch qHD resolution display, five-row slide-out QWERTY keyboard, eight-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and 1080p video recording capability, front facer for video calls and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The Milestone 3 will be available from Motorola as well as China [...]
The FCC filings continue to roll in today, with the latest to hit our radar an entry from Motorola. Though there’s very little present that assists us in identifying the phone, there are some hints that we could be looking at the Droid 3 Global.
The first thing we noticed about this Motorola was the glut of cellular bands available to it. The FCC documentation lists 800 and 1900MHz CDMA bands, 800 and 1900MHz EV-DO, quad-band GSM, and 850, 1900, and 2100MHz WCDMA. Notes attest that the phone’s firmware will ship with all the GSM and WCDMA bits disabled. This [...]
Earlier today we heard about the first real possibility for a launch date for Motorola’s Droid 3, rumored to be showing up with Verizon on July 7. As we wait to see if that date checks out, an early look at the smartphone out of China gives us a new look at its hardware, with some fresh information on its specs.
Bad news first: the Droid 3’s display, though with a nice qHD resolution, will be another PenTile setup, like other recent Motorola Droids. While that screen has good readability in direct sunlight, you pay for it with problems drawing crisp, straight lines [...]
The Motorola Droid 3 already appeared in Best Buy’s computer system back at the beginning of May but so far we don’t know anything exact regarding its release date, though it shouldn’t be far off.
According to Droid-life sources, the Motorola Droid 3 is being targetted by Verizon for a July 7 announcement date. While this still belongs in the Rumor category though, popular smartphone game producer Gameloft has added the phone as the “Motorola XT862 Droid 3” to their list of compatible devices. The codename fits as the Droid 3 surfaced with the same [...]
Motorola’s Droid 3 turned up in a couple pics last month, with a new, larger screen. Details on the smartphone are still sparse, but there’s some new evidence suggesting that a release could be nearer than we might have thought, as a supplier of OEM phone components has the whole Droid 3 screen assembly up for sale.
According to Global Direct Parts, the Droid 3 will expand the 3.7-inch screen on previous Droids to a little-more-modern four inches, along with a bump to qHD resolution. This will also be the first of the basic Droid models to include a front-facing [...]
After yesterday’s picture of the rumored upcoming Motorola Droid 3 — alongside the Droid X2 and Targa — today the Droid 2 refresh flashes its new keyboard in a thinner form factor.
As you’d expect from a Motorola Droid 3, similar to its predecessor, the keyboard is rather large. The upcoming model seems to have even larger keys — and there seems to be only one color painted on them — while Motorola is trying to maintain a thin form factor. Additionally, you can observe the fact that the bottom part is shorter than the top, sliding part, which [...]
After the Motorola Droid 2 and the Motorola Droid X, the manufacturer seems to be preparing the Motorola Droid 3 and the Motorola Droid X2 and luckily we can see a couple of pictures of the devices which popped up over at HowardForums.
Not much is known about the Motorola Droid 3 but we suspect it will be a decent follow-up to the Droid 2 with improved QWERTY keyboard and maybe a bump in its specs from the 1GHz TI OMAP 3620 on the Droid 2. We’ve already seen the Motorola Droid X2 pose for the camera last week with rumors of an NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core 1GHz processor, 1GB [...]
The revelation of some Motorola Droid 3 hardware last week had us hoping that the latest edition of the popular smartphone lineup would be soon upon us. With the Droid Bionic sent back to the engineers for an overhaul, the Droid 3 and the keyboard-less Droid X² would have to satisfy our Droid cravings for the time being. That just begs the question of when we can expect either of those models to surface. Best Buy, for one, looks like it’s getting ready for both smartphones to drop, adding the Droid 3 and Droid X² to its computer systems.
As you can see in the leaked [...]
