The IFA in Berlin just provided us with our latest volley of all-new smartphone and tablet hardware to be on the watch for. While we're still waiting for full details on many of those models, if you were considering picking any up, we just got some new pricing info on a couple of those devices. Sony announced a handful of new Xperia models last week, including the Xperia J. It's not the highest-end of Sony's new handsets by far, but it should offer a lower-price alternative for users interested in getting that latest Xperia look without breaking the bank. Retailer Clove is expecting to get ...

We're not slaves to jumbo-superphones here at Pocketnow, and the landscape at this year's IFA in Berlin is catering to our diverse tastes just fine. Enter the HTC Desire X, a new midrange offering from the Taiwanese manufacturer that we reported on just yesterday. The device features a 5MP camera, 4" SLCD display, and a 1GHz dual-core CPU - nothing that's going to turn any heads in the spec department, but it's all bundled up in a casing that's beautiful, well-built, and refreshingly not gigantic. You'll have to check out Jaime Rivera's report on the Desire X from yesterday for more ...

HTC has sadly not shown as much protagonism at IFA 2012 as we were expecting. They've just silently announced the HTC Desire X, which as we reported recently, is a good device, but sadly nothing that we'd tag as great. The device has better specs than the HTC One V that we didn't recommend in our review, but it won't break any records if compared with most of the Android smartphones in the market. When it comes to the oficial specs mentioned, we have a: 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor 4-inch Super LCD display at last decade's WVGA resolution A 5 megapixel back camera with the ...

Ok, let's stop calling this thing the HTC Proto and let's officially call this device the HTC Desire X. We recently learned that HTC was only using the Proto as a code name anyways. This device, while not the hottest thing on the planet when it comes to specs, seems to be on the HTC line-up of devices to be launched possibly at IFA. It's a much smaller device than the HTC One X, as you can see in the photos below. Sadly, as we already knew, the specs are also just as small. In plain english what you'll get is: 4 inch WVGA(Super LCD) 114g, 118.5 x 62.3 x 9.3 mm HSPA/WCDMA(Asia/Europe ...

It's hard to call the rumored HTC Proto a "Prototype", but hey, there's just no other way to call it I guess. The great thing is that it doesn't seem like if HTC is once again running out of names. Proto seems to be just another of the weird code names that we find HTC using for their unreleased handsets, and rumors now have the device gaining the probable name of Desire X. It seems that a Swedish site just found listings of four online retailers in Sweden and one in Norway where the device is being called Desire X. The interesting part is that about all this is that the Proto is in no way ...
