    Back in April, Verizon distributed invitations to an event taking place today, during the annual CTIA convention. At first, we were thinking the carrier might be planning to say something about its GS4 launch, but after learning about its accelerated timetable for the start of sales, that didn't make sense anymore.     Late last week we talked about a theory regarding the launch of Verizon's version of the HTC One. While it was heavily based on speculation, the idea that Verizon might take advantage of an event during the upcoming CTIA conference to announce the smartphone seemed pretty darn logical.     What are Verizon's intentions for the HTC One launch? There've been a lot of rumors, speculation, and conflicting official comments from both the carrier and manufacturer, leaving us guessing. Common sense would suggest that Verizon needs to adopt the handset at some point, but that it would want to do so without causing too much friction around the Droid DNA and its owners.
