Just before her company introduces the rather overtly Apple-esque One A9, HTC Chairwoman Cher Wang is up to fighting words as her company is fighting for Ave Maria. The launch is hours away at this point and in addition to pre-show-hyping up consumers and the press, the woman on the saddle is trying to rally her troops by encouraging HTC employees to invite friends and clients to watch the "Be Brilliant" live event on YouTube (happening at midnight, Taiwan time, by the way). Earlier this year we all heard HTC's CEO, Peter Chou, promise that if the HTC One didn't succeed, he would step down as the company's leader. A promise that not many of us praised, since the HTC that we know and which many of us admire, was born under the administration of Chou.
