Announced at BlackBerry World 2011, the Bold 9900 is expected to release sometime in June 2011. It is the first BlackBerry to feature RIM's BlackBerry OS 7 (formerly known as 6.1). The Bold 9900 smartphone is packing a 1.2GHZ processor and 768MB of RAM. It features a touchscreen 2.8-inch TFT display with a 640 x 480 VGA resolution. It also features a five-megapixel camera. RIM is apparently not messing around when it comes to the hardware for the next wave of BlackBerrys; we've just got our hands on leaked spec data for the upcoming Bold Touch, and like the Torch 2 and other future RIM smartphones, it will be packing a 1.2GHz CPU. In addition to the Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8655 processor, the Bold Touch (9930, aka Dakota) will hold 768MB of RAM and 8GB of flash memory. The upcoming BlackBerry Bold Touch, also known as the 9930 or Dakota, has been caught on video in the wild. The phone, which features a brawny 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8655 CPU with 768MB of RAM, combines the great keyboard of the Bold series of devices with the touch-friendly interface of BlackBerry OS 6.1. Slated for a release in Q2, a CDMA version of the Bold Touch has been caught on video, showing off some pretty snappy performance in launching apps and moving around the operating system. The heat is really on in the past couple of weeks when it comes to RIM's latest BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900 and BlackBerry Touch 9860 Monza and everything leaked gradually around them. If you've been following our BlackBerry coverage you've probably seen the recent leaked commercials of the Bold Touch and the Monza as well as well as the Curve Touch slated for a June or July release. According to two of BGR's sources, RIM will only be unveiling one BlackBerry with the occasion of its upcoming BlackBerry World event. That BlackBerry is believed to be the BlackBerry Bold Touch (or whatever name it will be wearing) and it looks like the decision was one of last moment. The BlackBerry Bold 9900 has just received its Wi-Fi certification, confirming the secondary 5.0GHz 802.11n band which was a part of that alleged leaked spec sheet. If that document is to be believed, the so-called Bold Touch will feature a single-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon CPU, 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen, five-megapixel camera with flash and 720p video capture, and 14.4Mbps HSPA+ cellular data speeds.
