It looks like RIM's latest BlackBerry smartphones running BBOS 7 are nearly upon us. We've heard rumors of releases in the US and Canada for this month, and seen confirmation of an August 16 ETA in the UK. Now we can try to narrow-down the release window for Canada a bit, after a pair of leaks have emerged, pointing to an August 15 launch. New screenshots have been leaked that show both the BlackBerry Torch 9810 and Torch 9860 coming to Telus on August 15. This information helps to back-up what we saw last week, where another leaked screenshot claimed that both those Torches, as well as ...

RIM just formally introduced some of its new smartphones running BlackBerry OS 7, including the flagship Bold 9900/9930. No big surprises there, but even with this new announcement, we still didn't have a definite idea of when the phone would arrive, or how much we'd have to shell out for this bad boy. We had seen one leaked document that gave us an idea of when T-Mobile might start selling the 9900 in the states, but lacked confirmation and still had no idea about the price. A newly available T-Mobile leak now backs-up that release information, as well as paints the 9900 as a quite ...

We once heard rumors of the BlackBerry Bold 9900 coming to T-Mobile in mid-August, only to have that estimation revised for sometime in September instead. It's not too far off from a September launch at all, but according to the very latest rumor, T-Mobile could see the 9900 come its way on August 31. The Bold 9900 will be the first BlackBerry model to support T-Mobile's 4G-ish HSPA+ network. The smartphone will mark the arrival of new higher-end RIM hardware, including a nice jump up to a 1.2GHz processor, and seeing system RAM expanded to 768MB. Sadly, the image this information is ...

Back in June, a Google Ad hinted towards a Verizon BlackBerry Bold 9930 and then, more recently, the phone popped-up showing off its Big Red boot screen. If you needed more bullet-proof confirmation, here's a video showing off the Verizon Bold 9930. If you go to the source link over at Verizon and check out the demo videos for the Bold 9650, you'll be surprised to see the Bold 9930 video instead. It's a complete device walkthrough video where you'll learn more about the phone itself but the most important information to keep in mind from all this is that the Bold 9930 will land on Verizon. ...

Back at the tail end of May, we got a look at the BlackBerry Bold 9790, and it left us scratching our head a bit. It looked like a refresh of the 9700 line, but weren't sure how it would fit into RIM's plans when placed up against the new models coming out in the 9900 line. We wondered if the smartphone might just be an internal prototype never meant to see the light of day. That suspicion was slightly reinforced when we tried to deduce what the seven BlackBerry models RIM claims it will release this year could be; we could think of more than seven, and others look far more likely to ...

It's no secret that RIM has a whole bunch of new BlackBery smartphones on the way to help revamp its aging product lineup. We've seen leaks, heard them mentioned on carrier roadmaps, and watched others get their FCC certifications; while we know these details for some models, we haven't had an overall picture of just what RIMs plans are. At the company's recent annual shareholders meeting, RIM Co-CEO Jim Basillie clearly spelled it out: there are seven new BlackBerry models set to arrive in the near future. Have we seen all seven of these smartphones yet? We know that the Bold 9900 and ...

If you're not interested in paying a premium price to get your hands on a BlackBerry Bold 9900 well in advance of anyone else, fret not, for there's more than one way to drop some cash on the upcoming RIM powerhouse. Amazon's UK site has opened pre-orders for the 9900, with the understanding that the smartphone should be released on September 15. That launch date jives with some of what we heard earlier, that T-Mobile in the States was now looking at a September launch after plans for an August release seemed untenable. In the UK, though, Amazon has the phone going for the equivalent of ...

If you're going to spend far too much on a smartphone on eBay, you could go with a collectible edition, like the prototype iPhone 4 we just looked at, or you could splurge on an unreleasesd model, hoping to make all your friends jealous as they wait out days until the phone's official release. If you find yourself leaning towards the latter category, you may want to check out an auction currently taking place for a RIM BlackBerry Bold 9900, brand new and apparently a final retail edition. The auction is taking place on the UK eBay site, where the 9900 is currently available with a ...

We've heard lots of rumors about the BlackBerry Torch 9860 and pictures of the smartphone were popping up on the internet rather frequently. Everyone expected RIM to launch the Torch with the occasion of the Bold 9900 but it didn't happen. Now the two seem to have a good time on the promenade in Toronto. Pictured above are the alleged BlackBerry Torch 9860 and BlackBerry Bold 9900. They both seem to be running on Telus which makes us believe even more it's the Torch 9860, GSM cousin of the Sprint Torch 9850, dubbed Volt. We just need someone to officially announce it and finally join the ...

While new Android smartphones continue to roll out by the truckload, RIM's BlackBerry lineup has been stagnating. Luckily, there are a bunch of new handsets on the way in the coming months to help revitalize the platform. We've seen some of these models pop up in a few of the leaked carrier roadmaps we've looked at, but the picture of who's getting what, when, is far from complete. A recent interview with Verizon Chief Marketing Officer Marni Walden provides some more information on what the future holds for BlackBerrys, confirming the arrival of three new RIM devices with the carrier ...

RIM announced the new BlackBerry OS 7 with the occasion of this year's BlackBerry World event, the new platform which will come out of the box on the BlackBerry Bold 9900 series smartphones announced with the same occasion. The new version of RIM's mobile operating system supports a new feature called Device Switch which lets you back up all your data and restore it to the same device or another one. This is pretty neat if you want to always have a safety copy of your information handy just in case. RIM is also now accepting applications for the new BlackBerry OS 7 platform. On the ...

T-Mobile customers looking for the BlackBerry Bold 9900 will have to wait until September to grab the RIM smartphone and Sprint subscribers have every reason to be excited as the BlackBerry Bold 9930 appeared in some carrier spreadsheet documents. We've got some good news for Verizon customers too! While this is not your regular screenshot, tip or leak, Google is coming to your help. As you can see in the screenshot above, there's an ad hinting towards the Verizon BlackBerry Bold 9930. We wish there was a date and price tag attached but it's not the case and we're sure we'll see some ...

Sprint has a couple new BlackBerrys heading its way, according to a recently-leaked spreadsheet, along with a mysterious LG Optimus Slider. The BlackBerry Bold 9930 is the CDMA version of the Bold 9900, which we just heard might get its release date pushed back to September. Here we can see that Sprint is expecting the 9930 for August 21; we haven't specifically heard that the 9900 delay, if true, would also affect the 9930, but considering the hardware similarities, there's a good chance it might. At the very least, it looks like Sprint will be getting the smartphone sometime in late ...

A leaked T-Mobile roadmap that surface last month revealed some tentative launch dates for a bunch of upcoming smartphones on the carrier. While the list was dominated by Android devices, it did include RIM's latest BlackBerry Bold model, the 9900. According to that info, the 9900 was set to launch on August 17. Now some new rumors cast doubt on that estimation, saying the smartphone won't be released until September. BGR says it's confirmed the September release window with several of its sources, giving it confidence in the new date. Technically, RIM could still pull off the summer ...

Over the last few days, we've seen lots of pics and video of upcoming BlackBerry handsets leak out, giving us an early view at some of the most anticipated additions to RIM's lineup. The trend continues through today, with the BlackBerry Bold 9790 posing for a series of its own pictures. It's not clear right now just how the 9790 will fit in with the rest of RIM's upcoming smartphones. According to the source that provided the phone's images, the 9790 performs significantly better than current models of its lineage, like the Bold 9780. With the upcoming Bold 9900 and 9930 as the new ...
