Some of you might have already noticed that a certain Nokia Camera application will be installed instead of the Nokia Pro Camera on your Lumia 1020 phones. The new app combines the Pro Camera and Smart Camera separate applications into a single one, and, also brings some improvements like the ability to choose quickly between three presets: Auto, Sports, and Night. The perfect storm of podcast-delay factors descended upon the Pocketnow team this week: your devoted host was in London attending an HTC press event, while frequent co-host Taylor Martin was busily blasting out review coverage for Samsung's still-hot Galaxy Note 3 here in the States. Meanwhile, the rest of the team was busy covering the usual news and editorial cycle in addition to pushing forward with season 2 of the Pocketnow Live broadcast. We've heard about a bunch of colors being added by Nokia as options to its own Glance Screen on the upcoming Bittersweet shimmer update, and, today's image above, seems to be a nice confirmation of the rumors. Nokia's Lumia Windows Phones getting hover interaction soon, at least according to a recent report, that is speculating on a couple of patents filed with the European Patent Office. To be more specific, we might be looking at hover-based text and/or object enlargement while reading or UI interaction, as well as handling of text input and icons (where you zoom in on hover and pan upon moving your hand). Nokia is already using hover-interaction on phones running its Lumia Amber package, especially in the Glance Screen, where the device can be woken up from standby to display the time and ...

Watch today's Pocketnow Daily as we talk about AT&T's launch of the Moto X, the HTC One mini and even the LG Optimus G Pro. We later talk about the Moto X specifically, when to expect it on other carriers, and how much it'll cost you to get the wooden back. Then we talk about Apple's acquisition of Embark, and what this means to maps on iOS. Windows Phone is next as we discover that GDR3 will most likely bring Notifications, and we also discover Nokia's Bittersweet Shimmer, which is not funny. We end today's show talking about Steve Ballmer's confirmation that he'll retire from ...
