A few hours ago, we learned form HTC that users on AT&T were about to get Ice Cream Sandwich on their Vivid smartphones. Since then, AT&T has released its own statement, confirming today’s availability of ICS for the Vivid, and giving us an official list of the phones it plans to see upgraded to Android 4.0.
Much like the list released by Verizon at the beginning of the month, we’ve already heard a lot of this from manufacturers, but it’s reassuring to see things backed-up by carriers, as we all know how much influence they have over whether or not [...]

If you’re a fan of doing more with your Android device than it was intended to do, you’ve most probably run into a soft brick at some point. That’s the specific point where you grab your hair, panic, and begin asking yourself what you were thinking of. Well, lucky for those who own a Motorola Droid RAZR, Bionic and the Atrix 2, that fear of sudden smartphone death can be cured with a little life support from their recently leaked Fastboot files.
That’s right, the folks at XDA-Developers have done it again. Make sure you hit the links for the specific [...]

Motorola has several high-end phones on the horizon, like the Droid RAZR we’re expecting to hear announced next week. One such model will be the Atrix 2, following-up on the company’s dual-core Android from this past spring. We heard about plans for the phone’s debut on AT*T when it was announced yesterday, but what about its global release? From the sounds of Motorola’s press release, the Atrix 2 may not be finding a home in Europe.
The Atrix 2 will first come to AT&T in the States, with a release this month. Following that launch, Motorola notes [...]

Slowly but surely, a picture of Motorola’s follow-up to the Atrix has been taking shape. First we learned of the MB865, reportedly to run on AT&T’s upcoming LTE network as the new Atrix. More recently, some Webtop code spilled the beans about an unannounced Motorola phone that would support it codenamed Edison. Then we made the connection between the MB865 and Edison and also learned via FCC filing that the smartphone wouldn’t have LTE data after all. Now the phone’s back in some new pics, along with some rumored specs.
We’re now hearing Atrix [...]
