In this episode of the iOS App Picks we demonstrate five applications in 30 seconds each. These apps will keep you entertained, create a sphere of photos that are stitched together, and keep an accurate record of your data usage. To download these apps directly to your iPhone, just click on the title of the application and the iTunes software will automatically launch to the app in the App Store. If you have the free Google Search app installed on your iPhone just snap a picture of the QR-Code using Google Goggles or any other QR-Code scanner that will launch the App Store on your iPhone. ...

In our first episode of the Apple App Picks we demonstrate five applications in 30 seconds each. These apps will keep you entertained, let you upload and download your photos to the Picasa server, and check your heart rate. To download these apps directly to your iPhone, just click on the title of the application and the iTunes software will automatically launch to the app in the App Store. If you have the free Google Search app installed on your iPhone just snap a picture of the QR-Code using Google Goggles or any other QR-Code scanner that will launch the App Store on your iPhone. ...

I've been a fan of CoPilot Live for quite some time and have used their apps for laptops, Windows Mobile, and Android devices. What sets CoPilot Live apart from most other GPS navigation apps is their ability to function without a data connection -- or even a data plan. They do this by installing a "map pack" on your sdcard, which their app uses rather than downloading map information over the Internet. Earlier today ALK announced that they are putting the final touches on a major update to their mobile navigation apps for Android, iPhone, and iPad devices. ALK didn't go into much detail ...

If you grew up playing Super Nintendo, then you've probably spent more than a few hours playing the NBA Jam series. EA revived the classic arcade basketball franchise late last year by launching a new game for consoles (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii) with the intention of staying true to the original, but with updated graphics and rosters, of course. Naturally, the title generated tons of hype and gamers soon found themselves reliving past memories of flaming hoops, high-flying dunks, and shattered backboards. Well, now you can take that action with you on-the-go, as EA just released NBA Jam for the ...

I don't know about you but I'm a big fan of music videos. It's great that you can get one or another within YouTube, but the fact that you have to search for them makes the experience cumbersome. VEVO is a video music service founded by Sony Entertainment, Universal Music and other record labels at the end of last year and currently did YouTube the favor of using its service to compile videos and just give you a more complete experience. To our luck VEVO recently launched their iOS app which currently works on the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. You do have to accept an AT&T add every now and ...

So yeah,.. RSS readers for most smartphone platforms have existed for a while now. Some are good, some are bad, some are free and others have a price tag. Really, the only problem with them is that they all look the same. Most are simple unpolished headlines with a little imagery inside of each post and really no compelling way to invite you to read additional content from the channel you're in. Pulse News Mini is an iPad gone iPhone application that does a good job in sticking out from the crowd. This 4+ rated application sports a UI that's very similar to the Metro UI we're all drooling ...

Part of the whole benefit of going to a gym is having a personal trainer in charge of our workout. Guys like me need to loose weight, so the smartest thing to do is to have someone guide you with the right routine to reach that goal, but what if time is against you? Most of us invest on home gyms to deal with that but that doesn't include a personal trainer for guidance. iFitness, in my opinion, is one of those key must have applications that can serve as a great solution for home and professional fitness on the go. Rated 4+ in the App Store, iFitness is probably one of the most complete ...

This might sound lame, but one of my personal needs is to have a tool that does a really good job in helping me take notes and segregate these by date. Another is that the content of these notes is searchable because I usually revisit them to build my weekly tasks. Awesome Note is one of those Apps I've stumbled upon that does all these things effectively, and manages to do it in a very fancy and organized way. Aside from the basics, this is a 4+ rated app that allows you to add images and even map imagery to your notes so you can have an easier time reminding yourself. Obviously a video ...
